Hi,

I will be able to help on the first day of the event. Olivier can you
please help me get a badge.

Note that I had already registered as an assistant with my iemejia@ apache

coffee :)

See you tomorrow!

Voice of Apache (Feathercast) recording times available this week

2023-12-05 Thread rbowen
Hi, folks.

Yet again, I am going to try to get some Feathercast recordings done on
a regular basis and get back into the habit.

(FYI: I am temporarily using the name "Voice Of Apache" rather than
Feathercast, while the logo/branding process is ongoing. I don't know
what name we will settle on long-term, and am awaiting guidance from
M&P on that matter.)

I've got recording times available on Thursday and Friday, and I know
there's some folks here on this list who have indicated interest and
availability to interview on your favorite project/topic. Let me know.

After Cassandra Summit (next week) I'll start reaching out directly to
projects again.

If you are interested in hosting interviews, please do let me know.

Hi Rich,

That's a fantastic idea :)
Can we speak a bit about how important is diversity topic in technology? I
can't do it this year but count with me in January or February.
I will try to reach some people in this area if everyone agrees :)

I got some positive feedback in this thread and no objections I think,
so would be ready to merge [2]. The map thing can be added later if
someone volunteers for that.

But ideally we should redirect [1] and [4] to that page, can anyone
help with that?

If yes I'll merge [2] and we can then redirect and announce the new
page for volunteers to sign up.

During my 10 years as an Apache contributor, I had limited opportunities to

I believe ALC Hangzhou would be a good idea to gather interesting people and
enjoy a cup of coffee/Longjin tea/chat, surrounded by the beauty of West Lake.

In recent years, more and more Internet companies have settled in Hangzhou.
Hangzhou is also the birthplace of several TLP in China, where a large number
of open source contributors gather. The establishment of ALC Hangzhou can
gather more developers to communicate and collaborate, and I believe it will
bring more open source technology innovation. I am looking forward to the
establishment of ALC Hangzhou and hope to be a part of it.
