Problem with Apache Reporter Service: Unable to add release data
Dear Community, I am unable to add the release data for our latest release. I have received an email from the Apache Reporter Service (see below). I logged in and entered 2.4.6 as the version number. But when I click on "Update release data" I get: "Could not save. Make sure you have filled out all fields and have access to this committee data! For further inquiries, please contact dev@community.apache.org" Can you fix this and grant me the permission to add the release data. Thanks, Rainer -Original Message- From: Apache Reporter Service [mailto:no-re...@reporter.apache.org] To: doebele Subject: Please add your release data for 'empire-db' Hi, This is an automated email from reporter.apache.org. I see that you just pushed something to our release repository for the 'empire-db' project in the following commit: r17835 at 2017-01-17 09:53:09 + (Tue, 17 Jan 2017) publish release 2.4.6 If you are a PMC member of this project, we ask that you log on to: https://reporter.apache.org/addrelease.html?empire-db and add your release data (version and date) to the database. If you are not a PMC member, please have a PMC member add this information. While this is not a requirement, we ask that you still add this data to the reporter database, so that people using the Apache Reporter Service will be able to see the latest release data for this project. Also, please ensure that you remove [1] any older releases. With regards, The Apache Reporter Service. Re: Problem with Apache Reporter Service: Unable to add release data
Worked OK for me (as an ASF member). The database is now updated. I've no idea why it did not work for you; AFAICT you have the correct karma. Maybe try again? Re: Open Source class... starting tomorrow
I really like the syllabus. Would be cool if we could get this course in Chicago. Seems to fill a number of gaps in traditional CS curriculum. - Bob On 1/16/2017 6:14 PM, Daniel Ruggeri wrote: > Hi, all; > > Digging up "ancient" history on this one > > https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/28c8decf60ec3c79c97a62c936ec9b816da841eb3fb655144dd219ba@1430955768@%3Cdev.community.apache.org%3E > > > I'm happy to share that tomorrow begins the first day of a class I'm > teaching titled "Open Source Software Development" at University of > Missouri - St. Louis in the Information Systems department. ApacheCon: Email going to ASF developer lists
Please have a look at https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/acna-announce-01-2017 This is a draft of email that will go out to all ASF dev@ and user@ mailing lists probably tomorrow, reminding of the soon-to-close CFP. It will also be posted to https://blogs.apache.org/conferences/ and sent out via Twitter. As you know, I try to send these as infrequently as possible, so as not to abuse our developer and user communities, so we want to be sure that it has everything in it that it should, but not so much that people don't read it. I really like the idea of developing open content for use in courses like this. I will keep watching the repo! One thing that I don't see there is build tools / systems and artifact repositories. It is no accident that Ant and Maven were developed @apache. Maybe after the scm discussion, you could add something on making it easy to build checked out code, which is key to making it easy to get involved. That would segway naturally into the evolution of build and dependency management systems. Really cool stuff, Daniel! I hope at some point all universities will have something like that in their academic program ;-) On Tue, Jan 17, 2017 at 1:14 AM, Daniel Ruggeri wrote: > Hi, all; > > Digging up "ancient" history on this one > > https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/28c8decf60ec3c79c97a62c936ec9b > 816da841eb3fb655144dd219ba@1430955768@%3Cdev.community.apache.org%3E > > > I'm happy to share that tomorrow begins the first day of a class I'm > teaching titled "Open Source Software Development" at University of > Missouri - St. Louis in the Information Systems department.
