Bug#222358: proposed package name change
looking at the other netrek packages and talking with the maintainer of the Vanilla server I suppose the package name should actually be netrek-server-vanilla (as opposed to netrek-server-INL I guess in case that ever happens). __ Do you Yahoo!? Bug#148764: would like to hijak buddy -- Shared library for manipulating Binary-decision diagrams
Hello, I'd like to package another application that depends on buddy. So, if you are not planning to get this uploaded to Debian, I'd like to do so myself. It's been a year or so since you filed the bug, so unless I hear otherwise I'll move forward on this in about a week or so. Thanks, Brian Pellin

Bug#132885: Status of mono packaging?
Hello I would like to know about the mono packaging status for Debian. I know that there are 0.26 packages at debianplanet. I have also (now) packaged the apache module (after some hassle). So if I do not hear from you in a short while I'll go from the debianplanet packages, package the latest version and upload to the archives. QCA is a library providing an easy API for several cryptographic algorithmns to Qt programs. . At the moment only the qca-tls plugin is packaged for debian, as it's uses by the package 'psi'. The generic library and several other plugins will be packaged when upstream releases them. (Comment: The last paragraph, of course, will be removed as soon as the qca package gets uploaded. But I guess Justin will release qca-tls first, and I want to package it ASAP as I need it for the psi package. Yes. Impatience is no motivation at all. The whole motivation is that I disagree with many design considerations regarding the code of debsigs (e.g. the massive use of perl-object-modules) that is IMHO making the code overly complex and difficult. OO-programming is a good thing, but stretching it too far is also possible. So, I'm doing a total rewrite. And, I for myself, think that it's better to do a new implementation in a new package. If you disagree, and want that the re-write happens inside of debsigs, please say so. But plainly speaking, I'd leave nothing over from the current code. My wish to upload a new package has nothing whatsoever to do with impatience and/or your maintainership. It is only based on the "will throw all code away"-issue. Presumably there's no intention to install this as /usr/sbin/adduser (as "replacement for adduser" would imply)? It doesn't appear to be interface-compatible at all, which is important since adduser presents an interface used by many Debian packages' maintainer scripts. Cheers, -- Colin Watson [EMAIL PROTECTED]

It doesn't appear to be adduser-ng is a replacement in a different way. The binary is installed in /usr/sbin/adduser-ng. AddUser-NG providies more flexible way to create accounts (it has a extended configuration, plugins, etc), so it's role is slight different from adduser's. So, probably the description is a bit confusing, i'll change it.
