Bug#125688: ITP: cpint -- pass CP commands to VM from Linux
Matt Zimmerman wrote: I noticed that this is now part of kernel-patch-2.4.17-s390. I assume this ITP can be closed, then? The kernel module has been part of kernel-patch-2.4.17-s390 and kernel-image-2.4.17-s390 for a long time (it's also in Debian 3.0r0). But the user space utilities are still missing. I have created a package of them but never uploaded it (shame on me). I'll talk to Jochen if we wants to include hcp into s390-tools and if not I will upload my package next week. Bug#175101: O: blackened -- A feature rich ircII based IRC client
Package: wnpp Version: unavailable; reported 2003-01-02 Severity: normal Due to lack of time, I intend to orphan the blackened package. Blackened is a feature rich ircII based IRC client. No gui. From the package description: Blackened is an enhanced ircII based IRC client that offers a variety of features not found in other clients, including commands designed for IRC server operators and administrators. Normal users also benefit from additional functionality. Blackened is licensed under the GPL, some parts of the code are BSD-style licensed. Although the last official release has happened quite some time ago (march 2002), there still is development going on. CVS commits have been done today, even; the diff with latest stable release looks impressive. Public cvsup read-only CVS access is available, see http://blackened.com/blackened/ . Timothy "Toast" Jensen, the upstream author, maintains a blackened-announce mailing list. One small bug is reported in the blackened Debian package. I noticed that policy says that Foo::Bar should be libfoo-bar-perl, but it doesn't really include an example of a multiword module like Foo::BarBaz. Now that I've looked at some examples more closely, most packages seem to follow the convention that Foo::Bar::Baz would be libfoo-bar-baz-perl but Foo::BarBaz would be libfoo-barbaz-perl. There are a few exceptions (mostly in packages that seem to provide more than one module), but I don't think they apply. I'll change the name. KEN -- Kenneth J.
