I do not think it will work, because it is against the logic how communication work. We communicate in the same channel and go off topic and then back to topic. There are some "morally superior" users that try to impose their views. However I prefer to stop as soon as possible to reduce the damage. HP Elitebook with external display and color issue
Hi, I don't know how to explain my problem, but I try hoping that someone would understand and help me fix it. So I have one HP Elitebook (I think it is 820 G2) with 16GB RAM and Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U CPU @ 2.50GHz. what to do with USB stick that gives badblocks errors
I'm sure there are many ideas around, but I want to hear your opinion so there is one USB stick that I noticed started mocking about errors when booting off. I ran badblocks (without options) and then with -s -n and this produced a slightly different output. Is the output resulting from the options or is something really wrong with the USB Should I throw it away? If it is a straight forward RS232 on the mainboard of the server and you are using something like minicom, you just need to reconnect to the device (after attaching the cable). If you have an issue with that, you need to debug what is going on. IF you have the rs232 serial as module, you can try SSH to the server and rmmod/insmod or modprobe ... but if you could SSH why would you RS232 to the server? According my observation the problem is in lack of education in the fields of logic and rhetoric. Looking into the details to me it seems exactly as expected. The liberal hijacked Debian as they did and do routinely with many other organizations. So now the Communist Party of Debian can rule with CoC. Great job - makes me feel proud of Debian (ironically). And I can imagine what will happen in the future. Debian will become like many other companies a victim of its CoC where it is not important to provide good software but to comply with what the communist party elite says. This is a pandemic for itself. I will be not surprised if I replace debian with something else in the future. USB UEFI recovery stick
Hi all, is there a way to have a USB UEFI stick that works similar to the Debian installer - for example to boot into UEFI and recover the boot loader. One machine here seems a bit older and refuses to boot into UEFI from the USB - rendering USB obsolete as recovery option. I am not an expert in Wayland, but X is able to utilize any GPU in any number. If it does not this automatically you have to manually configure the server. There are numerous guides on the internet. It also depends how your MoBo is designed to work. Some do not allow using both internal/external GPU. Last but not least - why many GPUs but one monitor? It makes no sense. It should use the one where the monitor is attached, but usually monitors have more inputs, which you can utilize.

AFAIR A screen will be assigned to the controller/GPU. then to each output a Monitor and Display will be assigned. As you know there are few options how it can be handled (Extend/Clone). The resolution depends on the quality of the cards. I have only one integrated intel with DVI and HDMI. So I have one screen and one Monitor, but both DVI and HDMI are connected. Because I have configured Extend per default, I see the login screen only on the DVI display and the extention on the other. I guess you must try out and perhaps manually fine tune this or that. May be also copy/paste here the make/model of the hardware, so that someone can give you more detailed information.

Why not? I can do HDMI or DVI as I like. The DVI delivers somehow better quality - might be because the HDMI has a switch box in between - I suspect in general being produced in China and it can not deliver full 1920x1080@75, or may be some other reason. Anyway I kept the DVI and it works with both plugged in just fine - may be over two years already.

I doubt it will work well on older Core2 Duo PC/Notebook without tweeking, but it could be I am wrong. The best is trying yourself.

The images you posted suppose you want to mix the output of the videostream with output of the microphone. I don't know if this is possible in pulseaudio. I used rosegarden couple of times or other audio mixer applications (like jackd)

I spent also some time finding a suitable way to configure qemu (for aarch64), so came to the bridge interface option as this way I can do a diskless setup. note whoami -> is the user you intend to run the qemu and you can replace eth0 with your ether device == TAP NETWORK == Setup Create a bridge brctl addbr br0 Clear IP of eth0 ip addr flush dev eth0 Add eth0 to bridge brctl addif br0 eth0 Create tap interface tunctl -t tap0 -u `whoami` Add tap0 to bridge brctl addif br0 tap0 Make sure everything is up ifconfig eth0 up ifconfig tap0 up ifconfig br0 up Check if properly bridged brctl show Assign ip to br0 dhclient -v br0 Cleanup Remove tap interface tap0 from bridge br0 brctl delif br0 tap0 Delete tap0 tunctl -d tap0 Remove eth0 from bridge brctl delif br0 eth0 Bring bridge down ifconfig br0 down Remove bridge brctl delbr br0 Bring eth0 up ifconfig eth0 up Check if an IP is assigned to eth0, if not request one dhclient -v eth0 https://wiki.qemu.org/Documentation/Networking https://www.qemu.org/2018/05/31/nic-parameter/

As mentioned I recall PA was v11 in stretch and it was awfully buggy. Try a USB live/stick and try reproducing it on newer PA version. then come back with results
