Touchpad problem after upgrading to 2.6.12

2005-08-12 Thread ctrlER

Hi,

I'm having a problem with double tap on my touchpad since i upgraded
from 2.6.8 to 2.6.12.
I'n 2.6.8 i could double tap and i could single tap just fine, now, if I
single tap in something, it opens two apps, so I'm figuring that it's
assuming double tapping when I'm just single tapping.

My laptop is a Acert TravelMate 290.

This is my x.org mice section.

Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "mouse"

Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"

Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection

Thanks

changing xdm settings

2005-08-17 Thread ctrlER

Hi, how are you?

I would like to change xdm default background (the one that apears when
the login information is prompted) to solid black.

Does anybody what file I have to edit to change that?

I was thinking of something along the line of

xsetroot -solid black

but I dont know where to put it.

Thank You.

Ricardo

Thank you all for your help :)

Ricardo,

Once you have changed your background color, you may find configuring
the actual XDM login window useful. The XDM man page [1] covers a
number of X resources that will configure how the various widgets in the
login window are drawn. I believe XDM in Debian
reads /etc/X11/xdm/Xresources. Also, this project [2] covers some
details of configuring a pretty XDM.

Put it in /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup, or add "-br" to the command line in
/etc/X11/xdm/Xservers.
