I'm a web developer myself, and a strong believer in knowing what you are doing when it comes to developing for the web. However, if you really dont want to learn html, the best tool out there is still Dreamweaver MX from Macromedia. Get yourself a copy of Crossover office and a copy of dreamweaver and thats the best bet. Otherwise learn HTML, and you can then use something as simple as vi/nano/pico. In general though, all WYSIWYG editors still write crap code, including Dreamweaver - it just writes better crap code than the rest of them. SANE not installing properly
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Im running Debian/sid and have just installed sane, xsane, scanimage, and xscanimage. xsane and xscanimage work without problems, but the command line sane and scanimage do not - /usr/bin/sane and /usr/bin/scanimage do not exist, and i believe a good number of other files too. I installed via apt-get install sane, so could it be a package badly built? The reason for this is that I am trying to get KView to load its scanning module, but it seems to think that: == No Scan-Service Available - KView == You do not appear to have SANE support, or your scanner is not attached properly. Please check these items before scanning again. This of course depends on your modem/router - I have a broadband modem/router from Netgear, and none of their router products support this part of DHCP. You can also set a longer timeout so that the DHCP server takes a week before it changes the IP address for a MAC address. For most people this is adequate, as each time you connect, the timeout is reset to whatever value you have set. Again, the Netgear doesn't support it, but the old Asus 6000EV unit that my father has, does, albeit not from the web interface, but through a bit of poking around the telnet console. -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAgH1McqOpPRWIadcRAtDcAJwO3zDPbRZhQ4Fh+7LOgq9Fm9aUlQCdHEfu FZ64zvysHPMdasqLq42/Zec= =T+Ko -END PGP SIGNATURE-
