Bug#933253: systemsettings: Crash when opening Keyboard and input devices -> Mouse if Wayland is used and no mouse is connected

2019-07-28 Thread johan
Package: systemsettings
Version: 4:5.14.5-1.1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Opening Mouse settings under keyboard and input devices causes systemsettings5
to crash when Wayland is used and no mouse is connected (only laptop touchpad
and trackpoint are used). The KDE crash report application gave the following
information:

Bug#750818: kmail: Applying a filter duplicates messages

2014-06-07 Thread Johan Spee
Package: kmail
Version: 4:4.12.4-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Applying a filter to incoming or outgoing mail results is duplication
of the filtered messages.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?

Assume I have a contact named Dennis, who uses several email addresses.

- I create a filter 'From Dennis' that moves a message to a mailbox 'Dennis' (a
sub of the general 'inbox') if any of his addrresses match the 'from' header.
The filter is used on all incoming mail.

- I create a filter 'To Dennis' that sets the identity of the message to
'id_private' if any of his addresses match the 'to' header. The filter is used
on all outgoing mail.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

 - Incoming messages from Dennis are moved to the sub-inbox but a copy also
stays behind in the general 'inbox'. If the filter applies to 'local folders'
as well the remaining copy is also moved to the sub-box.
THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME, but I can't quite put my finger on what
makes the difference.

- Outgoing messages are put in 'sent-mail' as expected, but a copy also stays
behind in the 'outbox'.
THIS HAPPENED EVERY TIME I TRIED (but the filter was soon switced off).

Note: I have tried several versions (4.11, 4.12, 4.13) of kmail lately, both
with debian and openSUSE - I have seen this happening with all of them.

Thanks for your help. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Bug#750818: It gets weirder

2014-06-08 Thread Johan Spee
I did some more testing:

I sent some messages to myself and they all ended up 'in duplo' in the target
mailbox (i.e. the mailbox the filter is supposed to move the message to).

When I next 'trash' the duplicate messages the trash mailbox only shows one,
single copy.

I next empty the 'trash' mailbox and open my inbox: a single copy of the
message re-appears in the target mailbox!

I trash that message and it disappears, but the trash mailbox remains empty.

When I open my inbox it is back again, in the target mailbox.

This goes on forverer.

I cab confirm this bug. Exact same situation here. I could also fix it by
downgrading libkf5kontactinterface5 to 17.12.3-1.

I experienced the same issue now and removed .local/share/kscreen. I
diffed the old and new versions and got the following:

As you can see, the position of the screen has somehow been messed up
when I unplugged my external screen, resulting in a blank screen when
entering a new session (after a reboot).
