Bug#295843: Installing libarts1-xine "turns off" the sound
Package: libarts1-xine Version: 3.3.1-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable For some reason if I install this package I loose all sound on my computer (or better say all arts related sound). As soon as I purge the package and restart kde I get the sound back. I am running clean sarge system installed from scratch. Please let me know how can I provide more information that may be relevant to this problem. I have Ensoniq 1731 sound card. Bug#295843: Bug #295843 please close!
I happily report that after upgrade of libarts1-xine to version 3.3.2-1 and kdelibs to version 3.3.2-4.0.3 the problem was gone. It looks like it was some hardware specific issue, because I couldn't reproduce this bug on two other machines, which had different sound card. Anyhow, please close this bug. Thank you for the great work! Slaven -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Package: kmail Version: 4:3.5.2-1+b1 Severity: normal After upgrading kmail from 3.4.3-1 to 3.5.2-1+b1 IMAP folders got messed up (sent mail folder dissapeared and folders '~' and '#ftp' showed up) and I keep getting error message quoted below. Re: Bug#365348: Kmail: IMAP-SSL borkage
If your mail server uses imap4 protocol, you need to install kdepim-kio-plugins package, as well. I had a similar problem and installing this package fixed things for me. Bug#247864: klaptop_acpi_helper produces a setuid-root warning/error message
It's still there with KDE 3.3.1. Slaven -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: Processed: Re: Bug #237820: menu: update-menu 2.1.10 fails on some menu entries
Actually there is still a menu/KDE problem present. When I try to update-menus I get following output: localhost:/root# update-menus sh: line 1: /usr/bin/kdm-update-menu: No such file or directory localhost:/root# As a result there is no 'Start new session' entry in the kde menu. This problem was reported under both #237820 and #242975. The later is still outstanding. It would be good if it can be fixed before next kdm upload or if some user workaround can be suggested. Thanks, Slaven
