Re: Bug#291091: Konqueror 3.3.1-4 respawns on clicking any link

2005-01-20 Thread Sean Meiners
I've seen this before and have a potential solution for you:

Go the 'Control Center -> KDE Components -> Component Chooser -> Web Browser'
and make sure you do _not_ have 'in the following browser selected' with
'konqueror' in the text field.

The problem is this: if you have konqueror explicitly listed there then
whenever KDE attempts opens a link it checks what program should be used, if
you've told it to use konqueror it will run konqueror and tell it to open the
URL. Konqueror then asks KDE what app should be used to open the URL, wash,
rinse, repeat.

This may not be the problem in your case, but I'd bet that even if it isn't,
it's something similar playing off of the mimetype or component system.

Bug#385194: kdebase source is missing debian/debian-kde_default.png

2006-08-29 Thread Sean Meiners
Source: kdebase
Version: 3.5.4-2
Severity: serious
Tags: etch

When trying to build kdebase with dpkg-buildpackage I ran across the following
error:

install -p -D -m644 debian/debian-kde_default.png
debian/kdebase-data/usr/share/wallpapers/debian-kde_default.png
install: cannot stat `debian/debian-kde_default.png': No such file or
directory
make: *** [binary-install/kdebase-data] Error 1

On further investigation I was able to find several references to
debian-kde_default.png, but not the file itself.

Note: I've marked this bug as 'serious' because it causes the package to fail
to build and because patch 22_default_backgrounds.diff changes causes KDE to
use it as the default.

Bug#385194: closed by Christopher Martin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (reply to Christopher Martin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>) (Re: Bug#385194: kdebase source is missing debian/debian-kde_default.png)

2006-08-30 Thread Sean Meiners
What version did 'apt-get source kdebase' get you? For me it gets:

Get:1 ftp://ftp.us.debian.org unstable/main kdebase 4:3.5.4-2 (dsc) [1810B]
Get:2 ftp://ftp.us.debian.org unstable/main kdebase 4:3.5.4-2 (tar) [28.2MB]
Get:3 ftp://ftp.us.debian.org unstable/main kdebase 4:3.5.4-2 (diff) [1789kB]

And when unpacked ' grep -r debian-kde_default debian/*' finds several
references to the file, but 'ls debian/debian-kde_default.png' finds nothing.
