Bug#893441: kdeplasma-addons: Please do not build-depend on scim-dev

2018-06-09 Thread Hugh McMaster
Dear Maintainer,

Please do not build-depend on scim-dev, as that package is incorrectly marked
Architecture: all and does not support multi-arch installation.

Please build-depend on libscim-dev, as suggested by Helmut, to resolve these
issues.

Thank you

Bug#893435: plasma-desktop: Please build-depend on libscim-dev

2018-06-09 Thread Hugh McMaster
Control: retitle -1 plasma-desktop: do you really need scim-dev?

Dear Maintainer,

As requested by Helmut, please do not build-depend on scim-dev. Instead, please
use libscim-dev, as it properly supports multi-arch co-installation.

Thank you

Upgrade 3.2.0 -> 3.2.2: duplicate menu/toolbar items and "No text!"

2004-12-18 Thread Hugh Greene
Hi maintainers,

I'm mailing to this address on the basis of the output for "dpkg -p kdebase"
on my system (which also includes "Version: 4:3.2.2-0.credativ.2").

I have some non-standard sources in my /etc/apt/sources.list (see below) so
that I can use Debian woody (stable) but have a newer KDE release. So far
this has caused me very few problems but a recent "update/upgrade" in
aptitude moved me from 3.2.0 to 3.2.2 (after I added the "~nobse" source) and
left me with duplicate menus, menu items and toolbar buttons in various
applications (kmail, konqueror, korganizer and others). I've solved this
problem for now by adding a symlink, like this:

  piecemeal:~# ln -s /etc/kde3 /usr/share/config

as suggested in these messages on the debian-kde list:

  http://lists.debian.org/debian-kde/2004/10/msg00108.html
  http://lists.debian.org/debian-kde/2004/10/msg00110.html

and logging out and restarting kdm :-) So, I'm just mailing to find out how
to report this bug, as suggested in

  http://lists.debian.org/debian-kde/2004/10/msg00100.html

("Ouch.. Then the packages need fixing..").

If this isn't the right place/means to report this, please point me in the
right direction. Please also reply to me directly (I've set Reply-To) as I'm
not subscribed to the list.

Thanks,
Hugh.

PS: For reference, the contents of my /etc/apt/sources/list
