Bug#244147: kicker: Windows key somehow blocks keyboard input

2004-04-16 Thread Guaka
Package: kicker
Version: 4:3.2.1-1
Severity: normal

When I use the Windows key, which is bound to the KDE start menu, the
start menu is not popping up. Instead the keyboard input is blocked
until I use the pointer to go to menu and click on it.

This might be a bug related to some other part of KDE, or even of X.

Bug#247731: kdelibs: All KDE stuff crashes, kicker is the last one to crash, X stays up

2004-05-06 Thread Guaka
Package: kdelibs
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: normal

Don't have the kde package installed, so I don't know where to report
this.

When logging in, all KDE apps crash a couple of seconds after being
started. kicker stays a bit longer. X stays up.

Same happened when kdelibs 3.2.1 was installed, after many K packages
were upgraded to 3.2.2...

Bug#248689: kde: all KDE stuff (except kicker) crashes when starting

2004-05-12 Thread Guaka
Package: kde
Version: 4:3.1.2
Severity: normal

All KDE stuff (except kicker) crashes when starting. I created a new
user with empty home dir, and the same happens there.

Kicker still shows, but crashes when clicking on it, and then
reloads. Only the "power off" button works, and quits the X session.

Apps can be started in X from the console, even all K apps...

>From the crash messages (that stay for about 0.1 second until
crashing) it seems that everything segfaults (11)...

Could this be due to kde-core 3.1.2?

Bug#248689: kde: seems related to login manager

2004-05-12 Thread Guaka
Package: kde
Version: 4:3.1.2
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #248689

I tried to found out some more about this issue, and it appears that
it is related to the login manager.

When starting X from it directly goes to KDE, without any problem.
The same is possible when starting a fail safe session from kdm, or
when "startkde"ing from IceWM.

With [EMAIL PROTECTED] all KDE stuff crashes quite quickly. KDE (and KDE

It took me quite a while to find out that the LANG variable was the culprit.

 so, any news about this?

Yes, it was crashing because I had [EMAIL PROTECTED] With LANG=nl it
works fine...
According to Riko Voipio my locale stuff is broken, but I think that
even that should not

crash KDE stuff...

bye!
