Bug#793637: [sddm] sddm vs plymouth

2015-07-25 Thread Eugene Paskevich

Package: sddm
Version: 0.11.0-3
Severity: important

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
It seems that there is a conflict between plymouth and sddm
during initial startup while plymouth is still showing graphics.

Please take a look at attached Xorg log files (timestamps stripped).

It seems that sddm has to wait until plymouth quits.
E.g. plymouth --wait

N.B. kdm didn't exhibit this behavior.

Bug#672684: Failed to compile kdevelop4 from source because of the same issue

2012-05-15 Thread Eugene Agafonov
Hi!

I'm not able to compile KDevelop4 with Debian Testing (workaround below)

Here is a complete CMakeList.txt to reproduce the issue.

#> cat CMakeLists.txt
project(demo)
cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.8)

find_package(Qt4 COMPONENTS QtWebKit REQUIRED )
message(STATUS "Test status" ${QT_QTWEBKIT_FOUND}
${QT_QTWEBKIT_INCLUDE_DIR} ${QT_QTWEBKIT_LIBRARY})

Looks like the issue is related to multi-arch support in libqtwebkit-dev
because libQtWebKit.so is missed from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu

#> dpkg -L libqtwebkit-dev | grep '/usr/lib'
/usr/lib
/usr/lib/pkgconfig
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/QtWebKit.pc
/usr/lib/libQtWebKit.prl
/usr/lib/qt4
/usr/lib/qt4/plugins
/usr/lib/qt4/plugins/designer
/usr/lib/qt4/plugins/designer/libqwebview.so
/usr/lib/libQtWebKit.so

#> dpkg -l libqtwebkit-dev
ii libqtwebkit-dev 2.2.0-3
Web content engine library for Qt - development files

The following workaround 'fixes' the issue until the package is really
fixed:
#> sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libQtWebKit.so /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu

Hopefully it helps to fix the issue.

BR, Eugene Agafonov

This is a bug in kdm's Xsession script, which sources $HOME/.bashrc
and then /etc/X11/Xsession. Reassigning...

Probably severity of this bug should be raised as it allows any user
to override system policy through .bashrc.

I used unetbootin under KDE and I never saw session management errors.
Internet search occurences of this error seem to suggest that the reason
is some X11 misconfiguration.

Cc'ing Qt maintainers in Debian for the possible help in analyzing the
issue.

Bug#486272: akregator: uncorrect showing feed folders' structure after adding a new folder

2008-06-14 Thread Eugene V. Lyubimkin
Package: akregator
Version: 4:4.0.80-1
Severity: normal

Suppose I have the next folders' structure:

All
+--JackYF
   +--News
   +--Misc
   +--Humor

Then I added folder named 'Debian'.
After that feeds from 'News' began to showing within 'Debian' folder,
feeds from 'Misc' - within 'News', 'Humor' -> 'Misc', and 'Humor' folder
disappeared at all.

But, If I closed akregator and started it again, the structure would be
correct, so bug is only in showing. Nevertheless, it's discourageous for
me.

porting kexi and kpogre to new libpqxx

2009-04-15 Thread Eugene V. Lyubimkin
Hello KDE teams,

Some time ago new major version of C++ PostgreSQL library, libpqxx, was
released. In order to reduce number of libpqxx libraries in archive for
squeeze it would be good if kexi and kpogre packages were ported to
libpqxx 3 from libpqxx 2.

The short upgrade overview can be read at [1].

Bug#655066: plasma-desktop process eats nearly 100% of CPU time

2012-01-08 Thread Eugene V. Lyubimkin
Package: plasma-desktop
Version: 4:4.6.5-4
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After several hours of launching KDE session or restarting
plasma-desktop process manually, it starts to eat more and more CPU
time, until it eats up to 100% of it. The plasma-desktop panel (which is
on the bottom of the screen by default and contains window list, the
quick launch button, system tray etc.) is updated only once in several
seconds.

Please let me know how can I help in debugging this (if needed).

Bug#655066: plasma-desktop process eats nearly 100% of CPU time

2012-06-28 Thread Eugene V. Lyubimkin
Package: plasma-desktop
Version: 4:4.8.4-2
Followup-For: Bug #655066

For the follow-up,

The bug shows itself even more often in the latest version. Right after
the restart of plasma-desktop process it behaves fine, but after several
hours of work it starts to eat 50-100% of CPU every 1-2 seconds for a
portion of second. Every time that happens, the whole bottom panel
freezes.

libqt4-dev: unable to install, strange "broken packages"

2007-07-30 Thread Eugene V. Lyubimkin

Have a good day.
My system is debian lenny, i686.

apt-get refusing installation of package libqt4-dev with following messages:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libqt4-dev: Depends: libmng-dev (>= 1.0.3) but it is not going to be

Before it I successfully executed "apt-get update". All dependency
packages are accessed right. Then I manually installed all of these
needed packages, but this error remains. Where is my mistake?
