Bug#835875: plasma-desktop: Application icon with a keyboard shortcut unhides its auto-hide panel

2016-08-28 Thread Andrej
Package: plasma-desktop
Version: 4:5.6.5-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I have an auto-hide panel, on which I have an application icons which
has a keyboard shortcut assigned. Whenever I use that shortcut, the
application launches correctly, but the panel unhides (shows up) for a
few seconds, before disappearing again.

This did not happen in plasma-desktop 5.4.x, IIRC.

Hello,

I installed the suggested package and enabled the holidays, but they are not
displayed in the calendar. However, you can go into the "Calendar" tab and tick
the Holidays plugin, this works as expected: holidays are shown.

Bug#857977: libpam-kwallet5: Kwallet doesn't unlock on login

2017-03-16 Thread Andrej Mernik
Package: libpam-kwallet5
Version: 5.8.4-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

on login, the default wallet doesn't seem to unlock, because programs prompt me
to enter wallet password.

Here are some more details:
- Password of the default wallet matches the login password and it uses
standard encryption
- Default wallet name is kdewallet
- I'm using default Stretch install + some additional programs. Login manager
is sddm
- As per guides on the Arch wiki, the /etc/pam.d/sddm file contains the
following

-auth optionalpam_kwallet5.so
-session optional pam_kwallet5.so auto_start

It seems to be setup properly out of the box. I didn't change anything.

Please provide some assistance on how to debug this situation.

Best Regards,
Andrej Mernik

Hello Maximiliano,

I have all settings unticked. I see now I have forgotten to attach the

Bug#852293: kde-l10n-de: Version to old missing translations

2017-05-28 Thread Andrej Mernik
Package: kde-l10n-sl
Version: 4:16.04.3-1
Followup-For: Bug #852293

Dear Maintainers,

we have less than three weeks before Stretch release and this bug is still not
fixed. The translations were pulled at start of July 2016, the applications
(for example) were pulled months later.

It might not seem a big deal, but some KDE translation teams do majority of
work a few weeks before major releases and backport anything left (or fixes)
after the release. This means Stretch will ship with incomplete translations or
translations containing string bugs already fixed in upstream.

Please consider updating the translations.

Thanks and best regards,
Andrej Mernik

Bug#996859: kded5: crash during init

Hello there,

is upgrading to unstable the only solution at the moment? I have installed
libkdecorations2-5v5 version 5.21.5 just to be able to start the plasma desktop
and now kded5 is crashing
all the time. I also would like to know whether there is an option to make it
more verbose to figure out what's wrong.

Bug#628006: kdebase-runtime: /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub writes huge amount of data to .xsession-errors

2011-05-26 Thread Andrej Mernik
Package: kdebase-runtime
Version: 4:4.4.5-1

A program /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub writes huge amount of data to .xsession-
errors. In three days the file size has reached 13 GB! The lines are similar to
this one:

[/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub] "/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(2075)" Soprano:
"SQLExecDirect failed on query 'sparql insert into graph
 {

 . }'
(iODBC Error: [OpenLink][Virtuoso iODBC Driver]CL064: Lost connection to

"/usr/bin/nepomukservicestub(2166)" Soprano: "SQLExecDirect failed on query

 . } UNION {  ?p ?o . }
} LIMIT 1' (iODBC Error: [OpenLink][Virtuoso iODBC Driver]CL064: Lost
connection to server)"

This happens only when indexing service Nepomuk/Strigi is indexing files/is
active.

Bug#615159: nepomulkservices consume too many memory

2011-05-27 Thread Andrej Mernik
Hello,

I have the same problem. I'm not sure if it's related to this bug:

kdebase-runtime: /usr/bin/nepomukservicestub writes huge amount of data to
.xsession-errors: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=628006

Why I think it's not? Because I disabled nepomuk logging with kdebugdialog
and removed .xsession-errors file. So the logging shouldn't be active now,
but the memory and CPU usage of nepomukservices and nepomukserver is huge.
There are also multiple instances of nepomukservices in top:

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEMTIME+ COMMAND
2075 andrej20 0 1403m 796m 3592 S2 39.3 135:52.04 nepomukservices

Bug#550447: kdebase-workspace: panels change size every time I enable and disable desktop effects

2009-10-10 Thread Andrej Kartashov
Package: kdebase-workspace
Version: 4:4.3.1-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

I am not sure that bug concerns exactly this package, but its description says
that:

"This package contains standard Plasma widgets and containments shipped in the
KDE 4 base workspace module. They provide such basic desktop functionality as
 the panel,..."

So, the problem is simple. Every time I enable and then disable desktop effects
in 'System Settings'
my panels grow up a little.

To REPRODUCE:

1) Open System Settings > Desktop;
2) Tick checkbox 'Enable desktop effects', click Apply;
3) Untick checkbox 'Enable desktop effects', click Apply.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Panels become bigger.

EXPECTED RESULT:

Panels should keep their size.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Not sure if it matters:
 - I have additional panel on the top with autohide
 - I have nvidia gforce4 mx440 pci video card

I will try to upgrade to 4:4.3.2-1 and check if it helps.
