Bug#813492: kde-workspace-bin: kdeinit4 increase memory-consumption by every extern ssh-login and never release it
m looks stabil. The systems are virtual using kvm (qemu). Crosstesting on a real system with kernel 4.4.0 (patched with a line against cve-2016-0718) sound like non-affected. I will test with a other kernel on the kvm-machines in future. with regards Andreas Matthus
Bug#813492: Acknowledgement (kde-workspace-bin: kdeinit4 increase memory-consumption by every extern ssh-login and never release it)
Hallo, now I compiled vanilla-kernel 4.4.1 (without patch, because cve-2016-9728 ist patched von kernel.org) on the kvm-machine. After restart I found the memeory-leak (it is one?) too. I can say, it is not dependent on kernel-version. with regards Andreas Matthus -- Dipl.-Phys. Bug#813492:
Hallo, now I confirmed the bug on a real machine without kvm. If a user is loged in with kde-gui you can see it fastly by for ((i=1;i++;i<999)) do ssh -i mykey user@pc_ip ls >/dev/null ; done user can be the own one or a other. pc_ip can be the IP over LAN, WAN or localhost. On this systems running debian stable. with regards Andreas Matthus -- Dipl.-Phys. kdelibs4_4%3a3.3.0-1_i386.deb depend failure
Hallo, kdelibs4_4%3a3.3.0-1_i386.deb depending on libopenexr0. This has no installation kandidat and was changed to libopenexr2, that I have installed. I overwrite the depencdence in /var/lib/apt/lists and get the packages with apt-get. After that I run dpkg -i --ignore-depends=libopenexr0 ... and all works fine. Can you correct the dependence?
