Version: 4:16.04.3-4~deb9u1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When any application is running on full-screen mode and display alarm appear,
the window frame of alarm is missing.

In normal situation (no full-screen application is running), when I hit defer
button, new window opens with some deferring options. The deferring window is
over the alarm window and all buttons works well.

When full-screen application is running and alarm appears, window frame is
missing and when I try to defer alarm, new window is opened, but it is under
the alarm window and many times there is no way to press any button. It is
because of old (alarm) window buttons are not working, and new (deferral)
window is hidden under it.
In that case, killing process (with Force Quit Button) does not work, nor
kalarm->quit. Only `killall kalarm` works well..
In case of quitting kalarm from panel I found out, that in both modes it only
removes kalarm icon from panel, but after closing all windows, it adds icon
again and works as usual, without exiting.

I am sending you some screenshots, how does it work in (ab)normal cases.

Dear Maintainer,

Kalarm worked partially at first on this fresh Buster install : sound and image
alarms never worked, but text messages did.
Recently, even the alarms I had programmed to appear as text messages on the
screen at regular intervals stopped appearing, even though kalarm was working,
and was started automatically each time I started my PC.
So I stopped kalarm, started it from a console, and got these two messages :

org.kde.pim.kidentitymanagement: IdentityManager: There was no default
identity. Marking first one as default.
org.kde.pim.kalarm: Error writing autostart file:
"/home/user/.config/autostart/kalarm.autostart.desktop"

I quickly found out that the ~/.config/autostart/ directory did not exist.
There is a directory named autostart-scripts in .config, but no program uses
it.
I created the ~/.config/autostart/ directory, restarted kalarm from the
console, and this time only got the first message :

org.kde.pim.kidentitymanagement: IdentityManager: There was no default
identity. Marking first one as default.

Text messages I newly created worked, but old messages I had created to appear
at regular intervals still did not appear at the scheduled time at all.
Sound and image alarms still do not work.

Bug#1022548: lokalize: text window does not repaint

2022-10-23 Thread Luc Castermans
Package: lokalize
Version: 4:22.08.2-1~np1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
X-Debbugs-Cc: l...@castermans.org

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

lokalize open correctly, the window with translation memory shows correctly as
well. Each file to translate opens correctly as well in a seperate window.
However the text in that window is NOT SHOWN at all. With this the application
is not usable.

kmail in stretch only supports TLSv1.0 which hinders it to connect to mail
servers that only support TLSv1.2 or TLSv.1.1.

The attached patch is a backport of the upstream fix from here:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342567
https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/129029/

It is necessary for sieve connections.

I primary reported the patches here
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=797844#33
but was told on irc to file separate bug reports.

I tested this patch for some weeks on my system without any issues.
Pleas let me know if you have any questions.

Bug#988288: /usr/bin/pimdataexporter: I can't import file zip configuration

2022-10-23 Thread Patrick Franz
Hi Davide,

I cannot reproduce this issue with the current version of KDE PIM 22.08.
I exported some KDE PIM data and when trying to import that data, the
tool showed me exactly those configs I had exported.

Do you still experience the same even with KDE PIM 22.08 ?

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

lokalize open correctly, the window with translation memory shows correctly as
well. Each file to translate opens correctly as well in a seperate window.
However the text in that window is NOT SHOWN at all. With this the application
is not usable.

Does it still happen with the latest version of Qt (5.15.6)?

If yes, can you please install libqt5gui5-dbgsym and generate a new

Dear Maintainer,

Kalarm stopped working on this testing system a few days ago, so I
removed it and tried to use the inbuilt support for events and reminders
in korganizer.

It seem to be hit and miss whether new events are recorded, but now I
get a consistent segfault when adding a new event. That new event might
overlap the time slot for an existing event. But whatever, a seg fault
is always serious

I ran under gdb to try to get some diagnostics. gdb.txt session log
attached.

Dear Maintainer,

Runnin any QT Application on Gnome will blacklist Wayland. You see
the explicit message when starting an application from the terminal.

% wireshark
Warning: Ignoring XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland on Gnome. Use
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland to run on Wayland anyway.

(for me this is really annoying as I have a HiDPI and a normal Monitor,
X11 doesnt allow different scaling).

Fedora considers QT 5.12+ ready to enable this by default, see the two used
pathes under [1], Section "Scope".

I'd hope debian could follow here, and use those patches in testing.
