Bug#991069: plasma-desktop: Kicker launches a wrong program
Hi Heikki, as you pointed out, this is resolved in the new Kickoff menu. If there were a patch, we could apply it and resolve the issue. But it seems the only solution is to use the new Kickoff menu. Then I'm afraid we won't be able to fix it for the Plasma version in Bullseye. However, as soon as Bullseye is released, we plan to push the newest Plasma version from experimental to unstable and then it will be available in testing soon after, if you want to install it from there. If you have nothing further to add, I'll close the bug. -- Med vänliga hälsningar Patrick Franz
Bug#991069: plasma-desktop: Kicker launches a wrong program
Fine, go ahead and close it. This was more or less the best I could expect. I can live with it for now, and will try to upgrade to the latest, when it reaches the (next) testing. Bug#991114: plasma-nm: system tray widget: wifi password field looses focus on mouse leave
Package: plasma-nm Version: 4:5.20.5-3 Severity: normal If you type the password for a wifi in the system tray widget and the mouse leaves the field you can't finish typing the password because the input field looses focus. That also happens if the wifi strength changes and the list is reordered. -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages plasma-nm depends on: ii kio 5.78.0-4 ii libc6 2.31-13 ii libkf5completion5 5.78.0-3 ii libkf5configcore5 5.78.0-4 ii libkf5configwidgets55.78.0-2 ii libkf5coreaddons5 5.78.0-4 ii libkf5dbusaddons5 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5declarative5 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5i18n5 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5iconthemes5 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5kiowidgets5 5.78.0-4 ii libkf5modemmanagerqt6 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5networkmanagerqt6 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5notifications55.78.0-2 ii libkf5service-bin 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5service5 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5solid55.78.0-2 ii libkf5wallet-bin5.78.0-2 ii libkf5wallet5 5.78.0-2 ii libkf5widgetsaddons55.78.0-2 ii libkf5windowsystem5 5.78.0-2 ii libnm0 1.30.0-2 ii libopenconnect5 8.10-2+b1 ii libqca-qt5-22.3.2-2 ii libqt5core5a5.15.2+dfsg-9 ii libqt5dbus5 5.15.2+dfsg-9 ii libqt5gui5 5.15.2+dfsg-9 ii libqt5network5 5.15.2+dfsg-9 ii libqt5qml5 5.15.2+dfsg-6 ii libqt5quickwidgets5 5.15.2+dfsg-6 ii libqt5widgets5 5.15.2+dfsg-9 ii libqt5xml5 5.15.2+dfsg-9 ii libstdc++6 10.2.1-6 ii mobile-broadband-provider-info 20201225-1 ii network-manager 1.30.0-2 ii plasma-framework5.78.0-3 ii qml-module-org-kde-kcoreaddons 5.78.0-2 ii qml-module-org-kde-kirigami25.78.0-3 ii qml-module-org-kde-prison 5.78.0-2 plasma-nm recommends no packages. Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-qt-kde@lists.debian.org Please unblock package okular [ Reason ] The json definition for the fictionbook book format currently uses the same identification string as the fax book format, thus okular uses only one of the two, currently the fax generator. If you select a binary instead of a .desktop file a temporary .desktop file is created in ~/.local/share/applications This is in the format Exec=someBinary MimeType=x-scheme-handler/http When we then use this application for launching KIO::DesktopExecParser then (sort of correctly) determines that that the chosen service cannot handle the http scheme because even though it is a scheme handler it does not have a "%u" in the exec line. This leads to us potentially loading websites via kioclient or kio-fuse. This is serious because many packages require a configure script to be run which checks for the presence of Qt5 components by invoking pkg-config. This check will fail even though the Qt5 is installed. This is true for all *Qt5* libraries in Bullseye. -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing-security APT policy: (500, 'testing-security'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.6.14 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_WARN, TAINT_OOT_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages libqt5core5a depends on: ii libc6 2.31-12 ii libdouble-conversion3 3.1.5-6.1 ii libgcc-s1 10.2.1-6 ii libglib2.0-0 2.66.8-1 ii libicu67 67.1-7 ii libpcre2-16-0 10.36-2 ii libstdc++6 10.2.1-6 ii libzstd1 1.4.8+dfsg-2.1 ii shared-mime-info 2.0-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.11.dfsg-2 Versions of packages libqt5core5a recommends: ii qttranslations5-l10n 5.15.2-2 Versions of packages libqt5core5a suggests: ii libthai0 0.1.28-3 -- no debconf information --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- > The package installs correctly as per dpkg, but the corresponding .pc file is > missing. If you want to develop/compile yourself, you need to install the development package qtbase5-dev Closing this bug.
