Your package has been put into the NEW queue, which requires manual action
from the ftpteam to process. The upload was otherwise valid (it had a good
OpenPGP signature and file hashes are valid), so please be patient.

Packages are routinely processed through to the archive, and do feel
free to browse the NEW queue[1].

If there is an issue with the upload, you will receive an email from a

This symbol is not present in kscreenlocker 5.19.5, but was present in 5.17.
Have you tried upgrading kwin to the latest version (5.19.5)?

I have just upgraded to a new version alongside with kwin and got no missing
symbol errors.

Dear FTP Master,

I heard from the Kubuntu maintainers that the package is already in their
archive with a
different name for the binary package.

So I’d kindly ask you to reject this upload so I can align with the existing
Ubuntu package
and re-upload.

Thanks for your help.

Bug#974597: kiten: Segfaults on startup if KConfigGui::sessionConfig() returns nullptr

2020-11-12 Thread Frédéric Brière
Package: kiten
Version: 4:20.04.3-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch

kiten invariably segfaults on startup for me:

#0  0x7f3833a898ff in KConfigBase::hasGroup (this=0x0,
group=group@entry=0x561e19ce44a3 "app") at ./src/core/kconfigbase.cpp:22
#1  0x561e19cd660a in Kiten::finishInit (this=0x561e1b286560)
at ./app/kiten.cpp:297

This is due to KConfigGui::sessionConfig() no longer creating a session
config when the application is not actually being restored from an
earlier session, and returning nullptr instead. Hence the segfault.

Patch attached.

KConfigGui::sessionConfig() no longer creates a session config when the

Bug#974602: libqt5core5a: Upstream issue with QProcess breaks debugging with QtCreator in 5.15.1

2020-11-12 Thread Richard Duivenvoorde
Package: libqt5core5a
Version: 5.15.1+dfsg-2
Severity: important
Tags: upstream patch

We (as QGIS developers) hit this today:
https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/qgis-developer/2020-November/062625.html

Since recent Qt update to 5.15.1 in Debian, QtCreator fails to debug
Qt-Applications
(like QGIS) because of an upstream issue related to gdb, lldb and the use
of QProcess in applications:
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-86319

There seems to be an upstream fix:
https://codereview.qt-project.org/c/qt/qtbase/+/313535
of which myself I cannot check if it is OK.
I do not have enough knowledge about how to handle this: wait for 5.15.2?
Or try to get this patch into debian (like Fedora did apparently, see osgeo
thread).

Hope this is enough information. If you need more information let me know.
More experienced Qt/QGIS devs will probably respond on the osgeo/qgis dev list.

Regards,
Richard Duivenvoorde

Subject: [PATCH] Check the return value of KConfigGui::sessionConfig() for
 nullptr
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

KConfigGui::sessionConfig() no longer creates a session config when the
application is not actually being restored from an earlier session.¹ In
this case, it will now return a null pointer, so we need to check for
that to avoid a segfault.

Could I suggest using (>> 4:5.19.70~)
I know we generally don't package these but upstream does publish prereleases
starting at .70 AFAICR.
