Bug#846660: [kded5] should depend on libkf5screen-bin

2016-12-03 Thread Maximiliano Curia

¡Hola Reuben!

About the subject, kded is a loader, it shouldn't depend on the parts that the
plugins depend on.

The bin part was split back in libkf5kscreen 5.5, and kscreen depends on
the bin part since then.

Also, kscreen is the package that provides the kded module for kscreen, so
the corresponding dependency is already there.

This looks like a mess. I can't really parse this. But I wouldn't be surprised
if some package in a different archive is blocking, or overriding one of the
provided by Debian. Please, check which version of kscreen, libkf5kscreen7,
libkf5kscreen-bin version you have installed, where they come from, and the
dependencies of that packages.

The kscreen 4:5.8.4-1 from our repositories has the dependency:
Depends: kde-cli-tools, plasma-framework, qml-module-qtgraphicaleffects, libc6 (>= 2.14), libkf5configcore5 (>= 4.97.0),

Migration to testing (and therefore inclusion in stretch)
is currently blocked by:
  qtwebchannel5-examples/armel unsatisfiable Depends: nodejs

nodejs is gone on armel, and won't come back.

There are two ways how this could be resolved:

1. if qtwebchannel-opensource-src makes sense without nodejs,
the qtwebchannel5-examples dependencies on nodejs and npm
   should become [!armel]

OR

2. - add a build-dependency on nodejs so that qtwebchannel-opensource-src
gets built only on architectures where nodejs is available, AND
   - send an "RM: qtwebchannel-opensource-src [armel]" bug
against ftp.debian.org to get rid of the old package on armel

Please use the inversioned libboost-dev (and the same for other boost
libraries, when used). boost 1.61 is going to be removed soon, and
anyway fixing the version only causes extra work on boost transitions.

Bug#846860: kde-plasma-desktop: not able to click on bottom desktop toolbar

2016-12-03 Thread Karagkiaouris Diamantis
Package: kde-plasma-desktop
Version: 5:91
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Sometimes the KDE menu bar on the bottom of desktop is not clickable and
then applications that i have already closed, appear on it. It seems
that somehow it caches them and if i change tty with ctl+alt+f1 and then
return to grafical desktop it refreshes the menu bar. I didn't find any
error on journalctl -xe.

2016-12-03 Thread laurent B
Package: plasma-desktop
Version: 4:5.8.4-1
Severity: grave

Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
upgrade some packages on debian sid (this week from 28 november to 2th
december 2016)
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
try to login in plasma-kde from sddm
   * What was the outcome of this action?
the blackcreen with K icon showed off but hand out indefinitely. However I
found a simple workaourd : go to tty1 then back to tty7 and get greeted with
the sound of plasma login. However then at some point the panel will stop work
and i could only manage to switch from one windows to another going in the to
left side of the screen.

Bug#840652: any status on this?

2016-12-03 Thread Sandro Knauß
Hi,

so I created a first set of patches to get rid of kf5gpgmepp.
Just to make it super clear if I talk about kf5gpgmepp I mean [0],
if I say GpgME is mean [1], that inclued Gpgmepp and QGpgME).

* kwallet-kf5 - is fixed
( the support of GppME >= 1.7.1 is already provided by upstream)
* messagelib/kdepim/kleopatra:
I created a patch to get rid of direct dependency of kf5gpgmepp

messagelib[debian/sid] 16da74f8b884e02a2835c6c1c92f8c2041aa27a1
kdepim[debian/sid] fe28dd2cc76a4c13b5f214fb8d024a529bf2bb9c
kleopatra[debian/sid] f5bf98dabe305aa781eb43abcc0c345bd265a38d

sune/maxy: please review

the tricky part is libkleo. Because parts of libkleo the moved into QGpgME,
and we have changes of boost::shared_ptr -> std::shared_ptr and other such
kind of changes. I created a patch to compile libkleo on its own without
Kf5Gpgme.
But if I try to use this libkleo to build messagelib it fails :(

At least one questino from my side, if we update all fist dependencies to not
use gpgmepp, we would also need to recompile the second level of dependencies
(f.ex. libkleo->messagelib->kdepim). This is normally handled by a transition,
but now we have transitions freeze... So how we get rid of kf5gpgmepp for
stretch smoothly( after we found a way to handle libkleo)?

Best Regards,

sandro
