Kde upstream doesn't support upgrades while running a plasma session at all. This is because a large portion of the functionality is provided by plugins interacting with long running processes. In this case the long running process would be the old akonadi version. If you can still reproduce the issue after restarting the session (or at least stopping akonadi with akonadictl stop), please install the additional dbgsym packages (following the instructions detailed in https://wiki.debian.org/AutomaticDebugPackages) in order to obtain a backtrace of the segfault with the debug information, which should be shown in kcrash. Bug#610485: ksshaskpass shouldn't be called from the menu item
Hi! I stumbled upon pretty much the same issue [1] as you, but later learned that you shouldn't call the ksshaskpass program directly and that is actually specified in the README.Debian file. This package (therefor?) no longer provides a .desktop file. [1] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=831600 signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.
Bug#706442: ksshaskpass shouldn't be called directly
Hi! Your workaround does indeed work fine as I've used it myself before. But I've recently learned that you shouldn't call ksshaskpass directly, but define it as the SSH_ASKPASS program in one of your session startup files. Bug#813938: marked as done (kwin-common: package in experimental has an incorrect dependency name libkwinglutil7)
Your message dated Mon, 08 Aug 2016 03:35:48 +0200 with message-id <2105427.lGm5ERdbJW@bagend> and subject line Fixed version is already uploaded has caused the Debian Bug report #813701, regarding kwin-common: package in experimental has an incorrect dependency name libkwinglutil7 to be marked as done. This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. Checking the depencies needed to install kwin-x11 from experimental, there is both a dependency on an unavailable libkinglutil7 package and an existing libkwinglutils7 package. Bug#813701: marked as done (kwin-common: dependency error(s?) libkwinglutil7 >= 4:5.4.0)

Looking at what was needed to upgrade kwin-related packages to experimental due to problems with the current version (see but #810947). * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? The depends for kwin-common 4:5.5.4-1 lists: libkwinglutil7 >= 4:5.4.0 but there only exists a libkwinglutils7 4:5.5.4-1 in Debian experimental (ie with an "s" in the name). There is also a depends on libkscreenlocker5 which is not in Debian (and I'm not sure what source package would build it). * What was the outcome of this action? * What outcome did you expect instead? *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.5.0-rc2+ (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) --- End Message --- --- Begin Message --- Version: 4:5.5.4-2 This [1] upload fixed the issue, but the changelog missed the Closing statement, thus doing it manually. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part. --- End Message ---
