Package: qtdeclarative5-kf5declarative
Version: 5.16.0-1
Severity: important

Hi dear maintainers, I've noticed some things wrong with
qtdeclarative5-kf5declarative (version 5.16.0-1) package in unstable [0]:

* The title is recursive: 'qtdeclarative5-kf5declarative: transitional package
for qtdeclarative5-kf5declarative', when it should say transitional package for
qml-module-serviceframework

* It seems qml-module-serviceframework package doesn't exists.

* If you try to 'safely remove' the package it tries to uninstall other packages

Hi, Dmitry Shachnev updated the description of the package and the changes
were included in the version that's currently in experimental.

Description: transitional package for new QML module packages
This is a transitional dummy package for the new QML module packages
provided by kf5declarative, which can be safely removed.

I'm preemptively closing the issue for that version, but if you consider that
we missed something, please reopen this bug report and add the corresponding
information.

I'm not being able to reproduce the issue and, as far as I can see it, the
rename action is working as intended. Let's see, you select a file in dolphin,
then you select rename, dolphin enters in filename editing mode, selecting the
text corresponding to the filename (upto the last dot character to prevent
changing the file extension by accident), allowing the user to either write a
new name or tweak the old one.

Is there anything I'm overlooking? Is dolphin behaving in a different way to
you? If so, please add more information to this issue, so it's clearer what's
the issue.

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Drag and drop file(s) to the trash folder on desktop
(in folder-view mode) does not work.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
Drag and drop a file to trash.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
A popup window with error message: access denied

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
The file is moved to trash folder.

Seems it is fixed in newer upstream versions.

Bug#814200: kdepimlibs: Incorrect Build-Deps

Control: tag 814200 + unreproducible

This can't be the reason for the failed build, kgendesignerplugin is a
dependency of libkf5kdelibs4support-dev, so it's available at build time.

But definetly the kdesignerplugin and kgendesignerplugin packages need a
review.

Also not a reason to failed to build from source.

The buildds logs show that the issue in experimental was related to the
version of akonadi-server at the time of the build try. Right now, the buildds
should be able to rebuild kdepimlibs, afaik (if we kindly ask for a retry).

Am I missing something?

Happy hacking,

Bug#810947: kwin-x11: iceweasel locks up when multiple windows restored

2016-02-09 Thread Arthur Marsh
Package: kwin-x11
Version: 4:5.4.3-1.1
Followup-For: Bug #810947

Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?

With current kernel and libraries, first time to attempt restoring
iceweasel can still lock up when restoring multiple windows, but after doing
a kill -9 on the locked up kwin_x11 process, allowing iceweasel to restore
windows and shutting things down cleanly, logging out and doing an init 1
to even restart dbus, the next login and iceweasel session restore works
without any lock-up.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

I attempted upgrading kwin-x11 to 4:5.5.4-2 but that would lock up right
at the start before attempting to run any programs like iceweasel or konsole.
(See attached back-trace).

   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Bug#814280: qt4-x11: please support fixed timestamps in qhelpgenerator

2016-02-09 Thread Dhole
Source: qt4-x11
Version: 4:4.8.7+dfsg-5
Severity: wishlist
Tags: patch
User: reproducible-bui...@lists.alioth.debian.org
Usertags: timestamps
X-Debbugs-Cc: reproducible-bui...@lists.alioth.debian.org

While working on the "reproducible builds" effort [1], we have noticed
that the qhelpgenerator tool from qt4-x11 embeds timestamps on the
creation of qch files.

Some months ago I sent a patch to fix this issue by enabling
qhelpgenerator to use the environment variable SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH when
embedding timestamps [1].

Sune Vuorela suggested that it would be better to backport the solution
he implemented for qt5 to solve this same issue, which consists in
replacing the embedded timestamp by a fixed one [2] and which is already
upstream.

The attached patch solves the reproducible timestamps issue in the same
way as it is solved in qt5 upstream. With the attached patch packages
using qhelpgenerator would then automatically embed reproducible
timestamps in qch files.

Bug#806454: calligrastage not installable / [calligra-libs] not installable

2016-02-09 Thread peter green
If you use and care about calligra can you please try building with the
patch I posted at

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=797389#17

And tell me

1. Is that patch still sufficient to make the package build in current sid?
2. Are the resulting packages installable?
3. Do the resulting packages actually work?

If I can get some confirmation that the patch results in packages that
actually works then I will NMU my patch.

Bug#814307: sddm: installing sddm pulling in too many dependencies

2016-02-09 Thread sharuzzaman
Package: sddm
Version: 0.13.0-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

To install sddm that sized about 1.2 MB, it pulls in total 223 packages with
total size about 89.8 MB. After unpacking, 352 MB will be used.

I disabled APT install-suggest and install-recommend on my laptop, but if by
using default, more packages will be pulled in by the suggest and recommend.

That is way too much, considering that I only want to install just one package.

There could be bigger issue with QT/KDE packages on the whole where the
dependencies does not make sense.

Example, why should I need vlc and freerdp to be installed just to have a login
manager?

Full aptitude output here:

--start-aptitude-output--

root@debian:~# aptitude install sddm
