2012-10-02 Thread Sachin
Package: kdm
Version: 4:4.4.5-7+squeeze1
Severity: important

At startup when the kde icons start to appear in the box, many times they

Bug#681807: okular: sometimes fails to start, but no error message

2012-10-02 Thread Felix Zweig
Bug#542361 has been fixed two month ago. Since then, I didn't had any
problems with okular. So, apparently, libgamin was really the source of
this bug, and thus it can be closed.

Thank you all for your help!

Looks like a hardware problem.

Did you try pressing the power button for 4 seconds to do a hard shutdown?

I recently installed wheezy KDE on my laptop. I am used to manage my passwords
with kwalletmanager. However, if I select the kwallet manager in the K-menu,
start it via ALT-F2 or start if from command line, I don't see any GUI.

It seems to be running:
paul@wollumbin ~ $ ps aux | grep wallet

Also, when I start it from command line I get a warning, but the exit status is
ok:
paul@wollumbin ~ $ kwalletmanager&&  echo ok

If I stop kwallet and start it again I get an additional warning:

Application may misbehave.

Please let me know if I can help more to get this issue fixed.

Bug#689392: kdm: At startup 3 times on 5 computer is jammed after appearance of the kde icons.

2012-10-02 Thread David Smith
Is this something that just started happening suddenly? I agree it sounds
like a hardware problem. Can you post your dmesg and kernel log? Any hard
disk problems should be reported in there.

Also, try running memtest86+ for a few hours to see if it picks up any
memory corruption.
Also, is lm-sensors (run "sensors") reporting any overheating?

Package: okular
Version: 4:4.8.4-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Sometimes, starting Okular fails without any error message. The only output
when started from a terminal is this:

$ okular
okular(30054)/kdecore (KConfigSkeleton) KCoreConfigSkeleton::writeConfig:
okular(30054)/kdecore (KConfigSkeleton) KCoreConfigSkeleton::writeConfig:
okular(30054)/kdecore (KConfigSkeleton) KCoreConfigSkeleton::writeConfig:
okular(30054)/kdecore (KConfigSkeleton) KCoreConfigSkeleton::writeConfig:

Removing /var/tmp/kdecache-, as reported in similar bug reports, doesn't
help.

How can I get a more verbose output the further diagnose the problem?
