Hello,

When I open an image in Gwenview and then perform any image operation (such as
rotating the image, for example), a message shows up saying "You have modified
many images. To avoid memory problems, you should save your changes". This
message
is not only annoying, but also wrong (I haven't modified many images; only one).
I guess that whoever came up with this message actually meant to say something
like "The image has been modified. You should save your changes". However, I
don't think this message is necessary at all. Imagine if we got a message
like that every time we typed a word in a word processor.

Thank you,

Adriano

After an update of kopete to version 4:4.4.4-1 all accounts and all contacts
disappeared.

I suppose this is related to a change in the way the settings are stored.

After downgrading to 4:4.4.3-2 everything is back. However, there are "empty"
contacts in

in the contact list and some contacts are listed twice.

Unfortunately kopete rarely tries to import old settings properly as it seems :
)

If this can't be improved, there should be at least a warning about that.

kopete version 4:4.4.3-2

On the application start it shows the message box with this message: 'The
process for the file protocol died unexpectedly.' -- and proceedes start
normally.

In the chat window it can not show emoticon pictures (showing placeholder),
since I can see them in the Configuration -> Chat Window -> Emoticins dialog.
The installation kdeartwork-emoticons package has added emoticon themes, but
they also aren't show in chat.

Trying to reinstall the kopete package, I've also lost all message window
styles. The mesage 'Chat style could not be found, or is invalid.' is shown
instead.

And the most uncomfortable effect: it doesn't show notifications in the taskbar
(no matter that I've checked notification options in the configuration). So I
have to look at my contactlist again and agian to find if there are any
messages.

Subject: kdm crash (due to a bug in libx11-6 o xserver in unstable?)
Package: kdm
Version: 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-6
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

I want to report a bug that makes kdm crash, though I believe that the bug
is not caused by kdm itself but probably by the xserver in unstable (that
have changed the way of handling input devices, in particular the keyboard).
[with the xserver-xorg in lenny (version 1.7.20) things work fine, with
the version in unstable (1.7.4+4) kdm crashes.

Here is the back trace generated by kcrash: as you can see the segfault
occurs in src/xkb/XKBBind.c (line 320) from libx11:

Package: kdebase-workspace-bin
Version: 4:4.2.4-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Since the upgrade from KDE3 to KDE4 on the Alpha platform, KDE has been
unusable. "/usr/bin/plasma" consistently segfaults on startup. This may
or may not be related to #519518: the reporter was using an i686 platform.
The following diagnostic output was captured (was not given the opportunity
to save it directly -- "save" button grayed-out):

This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents
creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in
the crash.

Bug#399292: mplayer: MPlayer rc1 can't be properly scaled by WM on start

Hi,

Does "the window snaps back" mean that it first maximizes (as it's supposed to
do) and only then switches to video size?

Eckhart

Bug#399292: mplayer: MPlayer rc1 can't be properly scaled by WM on start

2010-11-05 Thread Alexander Dorokhine
Hi, Eckhart;

Good question. I believe this used to be the case in the past (but I might
still be mistaken). Right now, it is not the case.

My current with Kwin 4.5.1 shows the mplayer window at movie size
immediately. I even ran kwin and mplayer with very high niceness under heavy
CPU load to slow them down as much as possible. I could not see at any time
that the mplayer window painted full screen. It is movie-sized immediately.

Also, I notice that the left window border is not painted on this window [it
is see-through] Don't know if this is related to the sizing.

Cheers,
Alexander.
