KAudioCreator doesn't escape special characters, including single-quotes, in the command line. This causes the encoding process (using oggenc in this case) to fail if the track or album metadata contains these unescaped quotes or other characters. This should be simple to fix. eigen REMOVED from testing
FYI: The status of the eigen source package in Debian's testing distribution has changed. Previous version: 1.0.5-2 Current version: (not in testing) Hint: Package not in unstable The script that generates this mail tries to extract removal reasons from comments in the britney hint files. Those comments were not originally meant to be machine readable, so if the reason for removing your package seems to be nonsense, it is probably the reporting script that got confused. Please check the actual hints file before you complain about meaningless removals. -- This email is automatically generated once a day. As the installation of new packages into testing happens multiple times a day you will receive later changes on the next day. Bug#277427: Bug still present, more information
I unarchived and reopened the bug, since I stumbled upon it. I'm using current debian stable (lenny). I'm using pam_ldap on common-auth. The passwords are not meant to be changed in workstations, so I tried to disable it by setting pam_deny on common-password. However kdm doesn't seem to obey this, but brings to password change dialog for user whos password is about to be expired (or has expired). Then it starts very weird behavior, cursor keeps going between fields like tab being pressed down constantly. It doesn't accept any input, nor cancel button can't be pressed. Only way out is ctrl-alt-backspace. This bug might be also present with any authentication backend when password changing is disabled, or can't be done. Will test that later. My common-auth: authsufficient pam_unix.so nullok_secure authrequisite pam_succeed_if.so uid >= 1000 quiet authoptionalpam_group.so use_first_pass authsufficient pam_ldap.so use_first_pass authrequiredpam_deny.so And common-password: password required pam_deny.so Kdm version is: kdm/lenny uptodate 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-6 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#523709: Plasma/Dolphin hangs on mousehover over a file in Dolphin browser
Package: dolphin Severity: important How to reproduce: 1. Login to KDE 2. Open File Browser (Dolphin) 3. Hover/click once on a file 4. Dolphin and KDE panel stops responding I upgraded to KDE 4.2.2 earlier this week (I think 7th of April) and have noticed that Dolphin/Plasma hangs when I open the file browser and hover over a file (or sometimes if I click on the file once). After that, I can continue to use Konsole and Iceweasel but neither of the file browser or the KDE panel works. I have tried to remove my ~/.kde and other temporary files from /tmp hoping it was some configuration/file remaining from KDE3.5 but I can always reproduce the behaviour. If I quit KDE when dolphin/plasma hangs (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace), and go to a tty1, I cannot delete my ~/.kde folder. The command just hangs out there (can't kill or Ctrl+C doesn't work either). During this both the dolphin and plasma processes are in "D" state according to ps uax and hence cannot be killed. Temporary way out for this is to restart and try not to use dolphin. However, this behaviour renders KDE unusable as a user might forget to not to use Dolphin. This is similar to behaviour described in: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kdebase/+bug/261106 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=167885 Below are a few lines form /var/log/syslog -- Apr 11 19:10:01 gurh /USR/SBIN/CRON[26118]: (root) CMD (if [ -x /usr/bin/vnstat ] && [ `ls /var/lib/vnstat/ | wc -l` -ge 1 ]; then /usr/bin/vnstat -u; fi) Apr 11 19:10:01 gurh /USR/SBIN/CRON[26119]: (root) CMD (/usr/share/vzctl/scripts/vpsreboot) Apr 11 19:10:01 gurh /USR/SBIN/CRON[26120]: (root) CMD (/usr/share/vzctl/scripts/vpsnetclean) Apr 11 19:15:01 gurh /USR/SBIN/CRON[26439]: (root) CMD (if [ -x /usr/bin/vnstat ] && [ `ls /var/lib/vnstat/ | wc -l` -ge 1 ]; then /usr/bin/vnstat -u; fi) Apr 11 19:15:01 gurh /USR/SBIN/CRON[26440]: (root) CMD (/usr/share/vzctl/scripts/vpsreboot) Apr 11 19:15:01 gurh /USR/SBIN/CRON[26441]: (root) CMD (/usr/share/vzctl/scripts/vpsnetclean) Apr 11 19:15:02 gurh kernel: [14969.036364] INFO: task plasma:5374 blocked for more than 120 seconds.
