Dear maintainers,

this is my bugreport:

Bug 1: Kmail does not delete Mails in folder trash. It is looking so, as it
does,
but in real it does not ! The file ~/Mail/trash should have the size of
zero if the trash was fully emptied, but in real, the mails stay in this
file. So the file is growing during the months and may be sometimes too big.
Additionally there is a security problem with it, as the user is believing,
he had deleted all (private or serious) mails, but in real, they are NOT.

Bug 2: relating to the above problem, kmail crashes, when trying to
empty the "sent-mail" folder.

I suppose, there might be the same reason for both bugs. I wondered:
~/Mail/drafts has the rights 644, while the other ones have the rights 0600.
I am the owner of all files, and never manually changed the rights. Which
one is correct ?

Regards

Hans

When leaving a session logged in across the new year, windows that are created
anytime in the new year are placed
behind windows created in the old year. i.e. if a Konsole session has been
open since 2006, any new apps started
from the Quick Launch Bar or K menu in 2007 will be spawned behind the active
konsole window. Best guess is that
KDE uses a "seconds since 01-Jan" method of calculating which windows are
newest to determine the order in which
they should appear on the desktop. This should likely be referenced to UTC
time instead.

Hi,

kpdf seems to be unable to print out A4 format correctly.
My default paper type in kde-settings is A4, the pdf files are in A4 format
and the cups paper size is also A4. All documents printed out with kpdf are
moved 17,5 mm to upper and 3,5 mm to the
left border. Printing with kghostview works fine.
Please fix this issue.

Hi,

kdevelop contains two qmake application templates, one for qt3 and one
for qt4 projects. However in a german-localized version of kdevelop one
cannot distinguish both in the list of templates. The reason is that

Qt4/QMake Application

is translated into "Anwendung", which is wrong. It is important to
mention the Qt4 here too.

The original text is in
kdevelop/languages/cpp/app_templates/qt4qmakeapp/qt4qmakeapp.

The Printer is a Samsun N2571 network printer.
Printing works fine with ipp http://192.168.1.10:631

But now the printer is visible from outside so I added a password:

I now set the URL to http://foo:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:631

I was able to print the test page, but printing something with e.g. kprinter
does not work. No errror. The job completes but nothing is printed.

Is tried using a Kubuntu 7.04 computer. Same problem. However printing from
firefox worked. I.e. I set up the printer in KDE, printing from KDE did not
work. Printing from non-kde programs worked.

Bug#449066: konsolekalendar: confuses relative paths containing a slash with remote URL

2007-11-02 Thread Bastian Kleineidam
Package: konsolekalendar
Version: 4:3.5.8-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Hi,

the --file option of konsolekalendar is buggy. It thinks it handles
a remote URL instead of a local file if the given path contains a slash:

$ konsolekalendar --file kalender/std.ics --view --date 2007-11-02 --time
00:00:00 --end-date 2007-11-02 --end-time 23:59:59
libkcal: ERROR: Can't read uid map file
'/home/calvin/.kde/share/apps/kcal/uidmaps/remote_t0FzeVpdkg'

The attached patch fixes this by looking first for a local file, then
assuming it is remote.

  Bastian

Bug#449068: kpdf menu entries overlaps with konqueror ones namespace

2007-11-02 Thread Alberto Marmodoro
Package: kpdf
Version: 4:3.5.8-1
Severity: minor

When opening an online pdf from konqueror through kpdf embedded the
"File" menu will acquire kpdf entries as well. The name of some of them
will overlap though, i.e. the menu will show 2 "Save as..." entries,
where the first refers to the html page or frame containing the
document, the second to the document itself.

A simple fix to ameliorate the interface would be changing kpdf entry as
"Save pdf file as..."

Running 'debuild binary' the second time build the package fine though.
Another option is to install automake 1.10, which lets the package build
fine (even the first time).

I attached the complete build log and a patch that fixes the build depends
to require automake 1.10.
