Bug#433768: FTBFS[hppa]: QMAKESPEC has not been set, so configuration cannot be deduced.
On Sunday 22 July 2007, Fathi Boudra wrote: > conclusion: > * build fine on hppa 32bits kernel and fails on 64bits kernel > * architecture detected on hppa 32bits kernel is parisc > * architecture detected on hppa 64bits kernel is generic > * moving from arch:generic to arch:parisc on 64bits kernel does nothing. > > I pinged TT guys to have their point of view. I got access to a hppa machine (thanks Thibault) - and tried track it down a bit. I have now gotten to the makefile generator in qmake - qmake/generators/makefile.cpp - where there is: 350 QStringList files = QDir(real_dir).entryList(QStringList(regex)); real_dir being e.g. the doc/html/ dir - and regex being '*' That QDir call returns crap filenames like /home/pusling/src/qt4-x11-4.3.0/doc/html/xml-streambookmarks-xbelreader-h.htmlcpp.htmllugin-cpp.html /home/pusling/src/qt4-x11-4.3.0/mkspecs/linux-kcclder being in that dir. I guess someone needs to dig into the QDir function - and figure out wether to look outside of qt4 for the problem. On a sidenote - qt4 4.2.1-2 as in etch builded fine in etch, but fails in the same ways when trying to build on hppa in current sid, so it could also be either kernel changes and/or glibc changes. The build log from when glibc2.5 was around also shows the same problems. I hope someone feels like looking into QDir ;) /Sune -- How can I reset the line from the control file inside Excel 8.2? It could be because of a dist-upgrade went bad or a full partition or something like that. I am using the exact same binaries here without any problems. Please try reinstall kdelibs4c2a. Reinstall and it works.. Thanks And please - in the future try to use english output from commands. /Sune -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Bug#433768: FTBFS[hppa]: QMAKESPEC has not been set, so configuration cannot be deduced.
reassign #433768 linux-2.6 retitle #433768 getdent(3) broken on hppa tag #433768 + patch thanks On Wednesday 25 July 2007, Sune Vuorela wrote: > I guess someone needs to dig into the QDir function - and figure out wether > to look outside of qt4 for the problem. Looking outside of qt4 was the right thing. getdent(3) was apparantly broken, which lead readdir_r to output partly garbage. QDir class uses readdir_r - and qmake uses QDir to locate files. Patching the kernel with the patch from: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/kyle/patches.git;a=commitdiff;h=daca9bc9970c5415fa4791bedef0518d0457bbfb did make readdir_r behave again. Thank you to Randolph Chung and to Thibault Varene for helping tracking this down and let me borrow machines and stuff. A fixed kernel on the buildds quite fast would be nice. After that, a hppa qt4 rebuild is needed - and at least a ipe retry/give-back. /Sune -- How may I overclock the folder from Photoshop?
