Thus, when I start kmail, it displays a dialog which asks for the user name and password, with "OK" and "Cancel" buttons. The "OK" button works as expected. However, if I hit "Cancel" (expecting that it stops connecting the IMAP account and simply lets me browse my local folders and change configuration and such), it displays the same dialog again. Bug#268748: marked as done (Importing mbox files prints many bogus "errors" about duplicate subject lines)

(NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I am talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: kmail Version: 4:3.3.0-2 Severity: normal When importing several large mbox files into kmail, I got this message dozens of times: "Duplicate message subject error when adding message to folder MBOX-debbugs in KMail" Now, last I checked, it was still legal to send and receive distinct messages with the same subject. In fact, this is encouraged when sending messages to mailing lists. So I don't think this dialog is appropriate at all. (and if that's not what the dialog means, it needs to be rewritten so it actually says what it means) Much worse, the dialog is displayed every time this condition is encountered, and the program stops processing the current mailbox every single time. I don't think I have to spell out the problem with this -- if the message must be displayed, it should either be displayed in the status area of the import window (the one that says "Importing messages from blahblahblah..."), displayed as a pop-up dialog once and not displayed again, or at least displayed with a button you can push to disable it in the future. Bug#425095: marked as done (kpdf: stores (leaks?) too many pixmaps in memory)

(NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I am talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: xserver-xorg-core Running up-to-date Etch. Over time, xorg takes up more and more memory. I have two computers: rocky: PII-233 with 64 MB ram running i386 titan: Athlon64 with 1 GB ram running amd64 On my i386, I only have 64 MB of ram so I can only run X for about 45 minutes before the system thrashes. Eventually, Xorg dies but doesn't release the screen. If I let the system sit for about 60 minutes, the thrashing subsides and I can ssh in and reboot to get my screen back. Hard on the disk, but the i386 is only a client box. On my amd64 Athlon64, I have 1 GB of ram so can run xorg; I haven't left this computer run long enough to run out of memory and thrash since its my main box; it gets turned off at night and through the day acts as a server. In the evening if I want to access the big screen, I'll run X for a couple of hours. This happens irrespective of window manager or DTE; on the i386 icewm takes up less memory so Xorg will run longer before thrashing than if I'm running xfce. It also happens if I don't use a wm at all and just run rxvt. Tried the vesa xorg driver instead of the trident with no change. Here's a concrete example of the problem. This is run on my i386 (rocky) and titan is my main Athlon64 amd64 box. startx rxvt and run nice top. shrink so just watch the header info e.g. swap used ssh titan -f /usr/bin/kpdf open a long file view each page in turn As each new page is viewed, xorg uses more memory, and swap goes up. Its as if xorg is using memory to hold the image for the new page and isn't releasing the memory used to hold the old page. I conjuecture that its holding all viewed pages in memory. On the amd64, I have the xorg metapackage installed. However, on the i386 I am very tight on disk space so only have what's needed: xserver-xorg-video-vesa xserver-xorg-video-trident with everything on which they depend. xorg.conf is generated by debconf. I added a virtual line but removing that makes no difference. Bug#432012: marked as done (kdemultimedia: [juk] add DOCP support for forwardAlbum)
Your message dated Mon, 23 Jul 2007 23:47:07 + with message-id <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and subject line Bug#432012: fixed in kdemultimedia 4:3.5.7-3 has caused the attached Bug report to be marked as done. This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I am talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: kdemultimedia Version: 3.5.7-2 Severity: wishlist Tags: patch Hi, The attached patch adds support for selecting a (random) next album in juk's "Album Random Play" mode. This is a control that was only added in later versions of juk, and apparently DOCP support was forgotten. With the patch applied, I now have full remote control over juk from a different system, so I no longer have to awaken the dispay just to skip a song I don't like :-) I understand from Sune that Juk is being phased out upstream (which IMO is a pity), but please consider including this patch in Debian. I'll send the script I use for the remote control to the debian-kde list. Bug#307221: marked as done (kopete: Outgoing MSN transfers fail when using NAT)
Your message dated Tue, 24 Jul 2007 02:16:00 +0200 with message-id <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and subject line [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Bug#307221: kopete: Outgoing MSN transfers fail when using NAT] has caused the attached Bug report to be marked as done. Please contact me immediately.) Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: kopete Version: 4:3.3.2-3 Severity: normal Tags: patch Hi, Kopete has a problem initiating outgoing MSN transfers (i.e. when it is acting as server) when used behind a firewall that does network address translation (NAT). This happens, because Kopete reports the IP of the local socket to the other peer, rather than the true external IP address. I had created a patch for this problem several months ago, which allows the user to specify an IP address and port number to report to the other client. However, I did not submit the patch to the Kopete maintainers in time for the KDE 3.4 release. Since the next official version of Kopete will use the MSN9 protocol which auto-detects the right IP, this patch became unnecessairy for future versions of Kopete. But Debian is still shipping with the 3.3 (and possibly 3.4) versions of Kopete, I am hoping you can include this patch to make it more useful for those with NATed connections. This patch is very non-intrusive. The largest change is adding a new tab to the MSNEditAccount.ui file. However, I backported the patch to the latest Debian verison of Kopete (from kdenetwork-3.3.2), so it should work fine. Please note that there appear to be at least two different bugs with NAT and MSN transfers in general, so this patch doesn't completely fix MSN transfers. If there are problems with the patch, please e-mail me. Debian bug tracking system administrator (administrator, Debian Bugs database) --- Begin Message --- Package: kmail Version: 4:3.5.7-1 Severity: important Tags: patch KMail fails on fetching IMAP quota information for folders with spaces in it, resulting in an error. There are the birthdays defined. In KOrganizer, I have my normal events in a default calendar. The birthdays are automatically shown from KAddressBook through a resource interface ("Birthdays"). This resource interface is configured to set reminders for the birthdays 2 days in advance. Setting the field "Reminder before (in days):" to 2 does not work as expected. To be reminded 2 days in advance, I have to set the field to a value of 120 (2 * 60). The field value is in the software multipied by 1440 (24*60) and passed to the function setAlarmStart(). This function is probably excepting seconds and not minutes. To make seconds form the field value, it should be multiplied by 86400 (24*60*60). This gives the error factor of 60.
