Bug#370403: status
Hi, I'm running an up-to-date Debian unstable with kernel 2.6.16. According to the debian-kde mailing-list this problem seems to be resolved in for some people running Etch ? What's the status for Sid ? Is someone working on it ? Commenting out 'Listen /var/run/cups/cups.sock' in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf does not help. Bug#378044: FTBFS with GCC 4.2: error: no matches converting function 'marshall_ItemList...
Package: kdebindings Version: 4:3.5.1-1 Your package fails to build with GCC 4.2. Version 4.2 has not been released yet but I'm building with a snapshot in order to find errors and give people an advance warning. The bug below is likely in your package though and not because I'm using a snapshot of the compiler so please take a look at it. You can reproduce this with the gcc-snapshot packagea (version 20060626-1 or higher) or gcc-4.2 from experimental. (The problem doesn't show up with gcc-snapshot earlier than 20060626-1 but some C++ fixes were done recently and I assume they made the compiler stricter.) > Automatic build of kdebindings_4:3.5.1-1 on test.track.rz.uni-augsburg.de by > sbuild/powerpc 0.47 ... > g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. > -I/build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby -I../../.. > -I/build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./smoke -I/usr/include/kde > -I/usr/share/qt3/include -I. -I/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/powerpc-linux > -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -D_REENTRANT -Wno-long-long -Wundef -ansi > -D_XOPEN_SOURCE=500 -D_BSD_SOURCE -Wcast-align -Wconversion -Wchar-subscripts > -Wall -W -Wpointer-arith -DNDEBUG -DNO_DEBUG -O2 -g -Wall -O2 > -Wformat-security -Wmissing-format-attribute -Wno-non-virtual-dtor > -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -fno-common -c > libqtrubyinternal_la.all_cpp.cpp -fPIC -DPIC -o > .libs/libqtrubyinternal_la.all_cpp.o > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1722: > error: '::QPtrListQNetworkOperationSTR' cannot appear in a > constant-expression > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1722: > error: no matches converting function 'marshall_ItemList' to type 'void > (*)(class Marshall*)' > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1310: > error: candidates are: template ItemListIterator, const char* ItemSTR> void marshall_ItemList(Marshall*) > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1723: > error: '::QPtrListQToolBarSTR' cannot appear in a constant-expression > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1723: > error: no matches converting function 'marshall_ItemList' to type 'void > (*)(class Marshall*)' > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1310: > error: candidates are: template ItemListIterator, const char* ItemSTR> void marshall_ItemList(Marshall*) > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1724: > error: '::QPtrListQTabSTR' cannot appear in a constant-expression > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1724: > error: no matches converting function 'marshall_ItemList' to type 'void > (*)(class Marshall*)' > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1310: > error: candidates are: template ItemListIterator, const char* ItemSTR> void marshall_ItemList(Marshall*) > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1725: > error: '::QPtrListQDockWindowSTR' cannot appear in a > constant-expression > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1725: > error: no matches converting function 'marshall_ItemList' to type 'void > (*)(class Marshall*)' > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1310: > error: candidates are: template ItemListIterator, const char* ItemSTR> void marshall_ItemList(Marshall*) > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1726: > error: '::QFileInfoListSTR' cannot appear in a constant-expression > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1726: > error: no matches converting function 'marshall_ItemList' to type 'void > (*)(class Marshall*)' > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1310: > error: candidates are: template ItemListIterator, const char* ItemSTR> void marshall_ItemList(Marshall*) > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1727: > error: '::QObjectListSTR' cannot appear in a constant-expression > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1727: > error: no matches converting function 'marshall_ItemList' to type 'void > (*)(class Marshall*)' > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1310: > error: candidates are: template ItemListIterator, const char* ItemSTR> void marshall_ItemList(Marshall*) > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1728: > error: '::QWidgetListSTR' cannot appear in a constant-expression > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1728: > error: no matches converting function 'marshall_ItemList' to type 'void > (*)(class Marshall*)' > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1310: > error: candidates are: template ItemListIterator, const char* ItemSTR> void marshall_ItemList(Marshall*) > /build/tbm/kdebindings-3.5.1/./qtruby/rubylib/qtruby/handlers.cpp:1731: > error: '::QCanvasItemListSTR' c
