Bug#377848: kopete: Receives messages from MSN when disconnected..

2006-07-11 Thread Romain Beauxis
Package: kopete
Version: 4:3.5.3-1
Severity: normal

Hi!

My kopete client receives messages from MSN after being disconnected,
even long time after (~6 hours) and after another connection from
another client.

This bug is not grave but higly annoying. A quick fix could be to simply
turn refuse message while being disconnected.
But, my experience today showed that my kopete at home received a
message after being disconncted for ~6 hours, and after another
connection from another client in another place.

The dangerous part here is that is not only that kopete keeps a socket
open after being disconnected from MSN, but also it keeps the connection
open: my home computer in NATed, so I don't see how the connection could
have been established more than 6 hours later if kopete did not
maintained it open.
If this is the case, then this could be a more important problem, since
it could then be considered a more threatening.

Bug#365348: kmail: IMAP-SSL fails with "connection to server is broken"

2006-07-11 Thread Brian White

Okay... It is reproducable because I just ran in to the same problem.

Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.3.2-3

This is from the "stable" distribution.

I believe my problem to be that it is not honoring the "port" setting.
I have it set to "993" for IMAPS but tcpdump shows that connection
attempts are still going to port 143 (imap2).

Bug#377878: libkonq4 seems to include references to paths on developer machine

2006-07-11 Thread Tomas Pospisek
Package: libkonq4
Version: 4:3.5.3-2
Severity: minor

Well, this could very well be a security bug, if libkonq really can be
'tricked' into reading non-FTBS data. Anyway here's what I see, when I
start konqueror from the command line:

ASSERT: "!icon.isEmpty()" in
/home/sid-user/kdebase/kdebase-3.5.3/./libkonq/konq_pixmapprovider.cc (81)
[repeat 3 additional times]

Note that there's no such thing as '/home/sid-user' here.
