Bug#343864:

2006-07-03 Thread Eric Lavarde - Debian Bugs
severity 343864 grave
thanks

The product has become non-usable (I can still track, but if I can't save,
it's really of no use...).

Thanks, Eric

Bug#343864: karm: Confirmation of bug + some more information

2006-07-03 Thread Eric Lavarde
Package: karm
Version: 4:3.5.2-1+b2
Followup-For: Bug #343864

Hi,

I confirm the bug. Started on the console, I see the following message:
kbuildsycoca running...
QFile::writeBlock: Write operation not permitted
karm: WARNING: KarmStorage::save : Could not save

File rights don't seem to be the issue:
~/.kde/share/apps/karm$ ll -a

~/.kde/share/config$ ll karmrc

It's a pain, I can't use karm anymore.

Bug#343864: karm: Found workaround/solution for issue.

2006-07-03 Thread Eric Lavarde
Package: karm
Version: 4:3.5.2-1+b2
Followup-For: Bug #343864

Hi,

Grmbl, I think I just lost a lot of my karma on this story (but I was
quite desparate, so I hope the maintainer will excuse me), anyway: sorry
for this!

Googling on the errror, I found the following bug report with a
workaround:
http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-bugs-dist&m=111901887125503&w=2
resp. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106737

So, I would suggest that the bug report severity could be brought down
again (hmph!), but I'm a bit puzzled because the above bug is reported
to be resolved, but I obviously didn't get a warning telling me to check
my lock files!? I think it would be fair to close the bug, once this
warning has made its way to Debian. What do you think?

Thanks, Eric

Bug#370403: temporary fix

2006-07-03 Thread Seiden Tiger
please see my message to
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=373720
to at least temporary fix this problem until the sockets work again.

Probably localhost instead of the socket should be the kde default under
debian etch/sid?
