dependency problem

2005-07-12 Thread Konstantin Goudkov

Hi,

There seems to be a problem with a package kdelibs4 in unstable.
It depends on libaspell15, but that one was replaced by libaspell15c2.

Re: dependency problem

2005-07-12 Thread Luca Botti
Hi Konstantin,

due to change in C++ ABI with transition to gcc 4.0, all C++ libraries
are being recompiled with the new version, and renamed to c2.

KDE (which, by itself, is C++ based) is awaiting in the pipeline that
all the libraries it depends on be correctly recompiled.

It will take still some time, i guess. I believe (not tried, though),
that you can downgrade aspell to previous version, then install
kdelibs4.

Hope it helps

Bug#317916: Disable Real Mouse During Mouse Emulation

2005-07-12 Thread Brian White

Package: kdebase
Version: 4:3.3.2-1
Severity: wishlist

I think it would be a good idea to disable events from a real mouse
during mouse emulation mode.

If someone were to have, to pick a random example from thin air ,
an IBM ThinkPad with a buggy track-point device that tended to send
random, spurious events, it would be completely impossible to use
mouse-emulation mode because the garbage events would keep coming
through and move the pointer elsewhere despite the best efforts of the
person at the keyboard.

Bug#317962: kde: inconsistent keyboard shortcuts for changing tabs

2005-07-12 Thread Jukka Suomela
Package: kde
Version: 5:44
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

Just some comments about default keyboard shortcuts in KDE
applications. It seems that the shortcuts for activating the previous
or the next tab are not consistent between various KDE applications.
Here are some examples from my KDE installation:

- Konsole (sessions):

shift + left/right.

- Kopete (multiple chats in the same window), Kate (open files), Kile
  (open files):

alt + left/right.

- Konqueror (tabs):

ctrl + "," / "." or
ctrl + "[" / "]".

Furthermore, these keyboard shortcuts seem to have different uses in
other applications: shift + left/right selects text in most editors
and such; alt + left/right is bound to "back" and "forward" actions in
Konqueror; ctrl + "," / "." expands and collapses threads in Kmail,
etc. Thus, using the wrong shortcuts in the wrong application may lead
into annoying surprises.

Of course it's easy to customize all these, but I think it'd be good
to have a bit more consistent default shortcuts in all KDE
applications.

Best regards,
Jukka Suomela
