Bug#297528: kgpg: impossible to import a key when duplicated user ID detected

2005-03-01 Thread Emiliano Gabrielli
Package: kgpg
Version: 4:3.3.2-1
Severity: important

importing a key from a server when duplicated user ID is detected is
impossible. kgpg tells to pick a user id, but it's impossible to do..
running gpg by command line works perfectly on the same key/server.

Package: kdepim
Version: 4:3.3.1-1
Severity: important
Justification: fails to build from source

Trying to rebuild:
kdepim (4:3.3.1-1) unstable; urgency=low

from scratch failed for me because of:

debian/patches/20_korganizer_makefile.diff
debian/patches/21_lib_link.diff

that seemed to be yet applied when dpkg-buildpackage enters
the patches area (?).

So I removed these files to recompile kdepim. Worked.

Thanks, Regards, Jean-Damien.

Package: kmailcvt
Version: 4:3.1.2-1
Severity: wishlist

(Bug#193351 is probably about the same)

Even Microsoft Outlook Express [tm] from its early versions was able to import
the plain raw UNIX mailboxes. Now I had to compose a quick hack to resolve it
(written in C, you can get it from here:
http://school.ioffe.ru/~rutsky/split_mbox.tar.gz (3830 bytes),
but note that it MAY NOT work correctly (you'll realize it if you look
into the code), and I had to learn pearl or python scripting a long time ago...)
Or maybe there is a good trick (I didn't read the documentation) to do so
without kmailcvt or my perversed utility?

The step 1 selection of import format in kmailcvt includes an entry
for UNIX mbox format, so I'm closing this bug. If it turns out the
support doesn't actually work, I'd prefer if you submitted a new bug
saying so instead of reopening this bug.

Hi,

running kmailcvt, it is not about converting address books but about
converting mailbox folders/files (from mbox, OE, pegasus and such).
Address book import is done by the kaddressbook package.

kdepim override disparity

2005-03-01 Thread Debian Installer
There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

knode_3.3.2-2_i386.deb: package says section is news, override says net.

Either the package or the override file is incorrect. If you think
the override is correct and the package wrong please fix the package
so that this disparity is fixed in the next upload. If you feel the
override is incorrect then please reply to this mail and explain why.

[NB: this is an automatically generated mail; if you replied to one
like it before and have not received a response yet, please ignore
this mail. Your reply needs to be processed by a human and will be in
due course, but until then the installer will send these automated
mails; sorry.]

Re: [Bug 83256] Problem displaying multiple ps/latex (xfig pstex esport) figures on 1 page

It seems so too. Guess I'll file this under debian's bug report tracking.

Thanks.

2005-03-01 Thread Windel Bouwman
Hello folks, I don't know, but should I post this here?

I got broken deps:

***

Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  kdelibs4-dev: Depends: kdelibs4 (= 4:3.3.2-1) but 4:3.3.2-2 is to be
installed
Depends: kdelibs-bin (= 4:3.3.2-1)
E: Broken packages

Greetings! Keep chilling!

.B Kaboodle
is a simple KMedia (aRts) player for KDE, which can play standalone,
or embedded in Konqueror. The embedded player should work for media embedded in
khtml, too.
It is meant for simple stuff like playing a quick video or sound file.
.B Kaboodle
does not accept plugins, does not have a playlist or volume control and other
such features.

Please explain at least what akode is, what aRts is, and what use it
is for me to install such a package. And frankly, is the "ease of use,
contemporary functionality, and outstanding graphical design with the
technological superiority of the Unix" part really useful to the end user?

Package: akode
Version: 4:3.3.1-1

1. The short package description starts off with the package name.
2. The long package description mentions KDE in general and then finally
repeats the short description (which is not even a complete sentence...). The
only useful information in the description is
 - it's an ARTS plugin
 - belongs to the multimedia module of KDE

I just wanted to know what it is and why libarts1 suggests it ...
Uli

There are disparities between your recently accepted upload and the
override file for the following file(s):

juk_3.3.2-1_i386.deb: package says section is sound, override says kde.
