Bug#238135: keyboard shortcuts ctrl+[ and ctrl+] don't work when konqueror started from the menu

Crtl-[ and Crtl-] work as expected here (testing + KDE 3.2.1 + xf 4.3 from unstable) when started from k-menu or kicker and command line. I created the second tab with ctrl-shift-n and with file-> new tab. If you mean getting a chooser or login window from another host, that's not the task of kdm but of the xserver. Or > According to the xaccess help, there is only one entry matching. If you mean that the chooser is provided by the local kdm, search for ChooserHosts in /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc and you'll find your wish already implemented. Let us know if this fixes you wishlist. Ugly fonts and images with Konstruct/KDE 3.2.1
Hey all, It's unbelievable how many places and mailboxes I already have polluted with my question, but I'm getting quite desperate, and nobody seems to be able to help me further (that includes [EMAIL PROTECTED], be.comp.os.linux, comp.windows.x.kde, and [EMAIL PROTECTED]). I installed KDE 3.2.1 using Konstruct. It sits in /opt/kde3.2.1 and I can use it just fine. The only problem is its rendering of both images and fonts, as visible here: http://tom.verbreyt.be/tmp/snapshot1.png http://tom.verbreyt.be/tmp/snapshot2.png As the second shot shows, it's not only fonts that get, ehm, "crumbled", so I guess it can't be Xft related. I just used the gdm entry script of that in the official Debian ksmserver package (exec /etc/X11/Xsession /opt/kde3.2.1/bin/startkde), and added the environment variables mentioned in Konstructs README above that line (QTDIR, KDEDIR, PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH, all properly mentioning /opt/kde3.2.1). Following tips from [EMAIL PROTECTED], Konstructs maintainer, I concluded that Xrender was properly compiled in. Another tip I got was on Usenet. Someone in comp.windows.x.kde told me to try setting the default font to some TTF, rather than what obviously was chosen as the default (helvetica). At that point, I noticed that *none* of my truetype fonts are available within Konstruct! I'm happily using them in Gnome right now, so that shouldn't be happening. That's the only clue I have. I guess there is a problem with the Xserver, but I can't think of any reason for that. Previously, I have been using Konstruct/KDE 3.2.1 installed in my own home directory, and none of this happened. I figure something must go wrong when I try to have it installed and usable for all users, by putting it in /opt. Would anyone be able to give me further clues, tips or hints? I'm really out of those.

There are a lot of useful packages in Debian, and we don't recommend them either ;) IMHO, the number of KDE programs using doxygen is fairly small, and if anything, I'd go for at most a suggests line. cheers domi

Bug#238770: kdebase: Weird fonts in Gnome apps after KDE upgrade
Package: kdebase Version: 4:3.2.1-1 Severity: normal I'm not certain this is the right place for this bug report, or even what is at fault; it manifested itself on one out of two machines that I upgraded to 3.2 at the same time. Bug#238812: kdvi's help has incorrect links to srcltx.sty and srctex.sty
Package: kdvi Version: 3.2.1-1 Severity: minor Hi... The help page: help:/kdvi/inverse-search.html has links to two files srcltx.sty and srctex.sty which are LaTeX style files to support inverse searching. Unfortunately, in the debian package those two files are gzipped so the links in that document to: help:/kdvi/srcltx.sty help:/kdvi/srctex.sty need to have a .gz appended (or alternatively those files should be ungzipped). =) Peter
