This seems pretty fundemental to me. Are you saying that the KDE CVS is not
the place to get the most up to date version of the debian subdirectories.

If not - where do I look?

It is the place for BRANCH, which is what's currently in debian
unstable. HEAD might be a different story; I at least haven't
looked at it yet.

Actually, Chris told me he had forgotten to update BRANCH to the
latest 3.1.4 package.

On some occasions, every character you type into the url bar is sent out as a
DNS packet. Over a slow link, this is really annoying. Sometimes, this
causes the browser to freeze up until the timeout on the dns lookup is hit.

Example: Type http://news.

You should see a new packet for every 'g' if you use tcpdump on the link, and
it may hang for a couple of seconds or even longer.

Konqueror should probably wait until you press enter to see if the url is
valid instead of looking at the partial results.

Bug#103008: konqueror: Konqueror java applet embedding vs. window managers

2003-12-29 Thread Danilo Piazzalunga
Package: konqueror
Version: 4:3.1.4-1
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #103008

Still occurs, depending on which window manager is in use.

These ones still have the problem:
 - twm 4.3.0-0pre1v4
 - wmaker 0.80.1-8
 - xfwm4 4.0.2-2 (sometimes it is all right, sometimes just opens a
"silhouette" window but the applet appears where it should be).

These ones are ok, as said above
 - icewm-lite 1.2.13+CVS20031226-1
 - kwin 3.1.4-1 ;-)

Best Regards,
Danilo
