Then it's a real bug in -fwrapv support, I guess.  Without -fwrapv,
all bets are off AFAICS because the example code results in signed
integer overflow.

Bug#361024: libstdc++6: Test packages for libstdc++ fix Etch users running Xen

Although not reflected in the config below, the packages at
http://people.debian.org/~doko/tmp/

resolved this problem for me, which was killing things like gnucash in Xen
environments regarless of the location of /lib/tls
