Hmm looks like it - but there are two interesting points however - somehow I've not noticed this report while using reportbug - I do not link libGLU to avifile - but as it's linked with libSDL libGL seems to be linked with the program - but no libGLU is shown with ldd (here is the output: $ ldd bin/aviplay libaviplay-0.6.so.1 => /var/tmp/avi6/lib/libaviplay-0.6.so.1 (0x40014000) libqt-mt.so.3 => /usr/lib/libqt-mt.so.3 (0x400b4000) libSDL-1.2.so.0 => /usr/lib/libSDL-1.2.so.0 (0x4068e000) libXft.so.1 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXft.so.1 (0x406f8000) libXi.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXi.so.6 (0x40721000) libXext.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.so.6 (0x40729000) libX11.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x40736000) libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x4081) libnsl.so.1 => /lib/libnsl.so.1 (0x40824000) libdl.so.2 => /lib/libdl.so.2 (0x40838000) libstdc++.so.3 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.3 (0x4083c000) libm.so.6 => /lib/libm.so.6 (0x408cd000) libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x408ee000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x408f5000) libmng.so.1 => /usr/lib/libmng.so.1 (0x40a12000) libjpeg.so.62 => /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62 (0x40a55000) libpng.so.3 => /usr/lib/libpng.so.3 (0x40a74000) libz.so.1 => /usr/lib/libz.so.1 (0x40aa1000) libGL.so.1 => /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 (0x40ab1000) libXmu.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXmu.so.6 (0x40b17000) libICE.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libICE.so.6 (0x40b2b000) libSM.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libSM.so.6 (0x40b41000) libXrender.so.1 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXrender.so.1 (0x40b49000) libfreetype.so.6 => /usr/lib/libfreetype.so.6 (0x40b4e000) libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 => /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 (0x40b8d000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x4000) liblcms.so.1 => /usr/lib/liblcms.so.1 (0x40bd8000) libXt.so.6 => /usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.so.6 (0x40bf1000) -- .''`. Hmm - I'm using just standard unstable Debian - so you should be able to see which symbols are present there (unless you do not have libGL installed) I do not know which symbols shouldn't be exported by libGL - but dynamic_cast is definitely not in them - moreover it's not present in any other library linked with avifile except /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 As I said I've currently removed the need of this in my avifile project however my second project is quite based on the proper functionality of this casting - as it's using it for object identification (thus saving one member value for typeof) -- .''`. Re: looking for suggestions and help
Sean 'Shaleh' Perry writes: > I need to have a copy of 2.95.2 installed and would like to keep > 2.95.4 and 3.0 installed. What is involved in making a g++-2.95.2 > package similar to the 3.0 package? do you really need 2.95.2, and not 2.95.3? - start with the gcc-2.95 packaging. - modify the packaging to include the subminor version in the package names. - take the patches from the 2.95.[23] packages. Probably you need to include a glibc-2.2 compatibility patch. - probably you'll need another shared libray name for the libstdc++ library (and libobjc), it's the same as for the 2.95.4 packages. just curious, why you want to build this package ... -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
