3.0 and warning!?
Hi Just did the usual Update/Upgrade thing, and suddenly dselect wants to upgrade my gcc to 3.0. Later on, I get this horrendous warning about it. I mean, all right, development snapshot and all, but surely dselect shouldn't *automatically* upgrade if it is this dangerous?! (Using woody) -kzm -- If I haven't seen further, it is by standing in the footprints of giants

FYI, gcc-3.0 is not used by default. Calling "gcc" or "cc" will use gcc-2.95. You need to set CC=gcc-3.0 to actually use the new compiler. So the warning is pretty accurate. However, after the next upgrade, it wont give a warning any longer.
