apt-get,d-i and small hard disks
hello i have a problem using apt under small disk, on a PC under debian and another during debian installation (pre-rc2). On the first PC, i do a 'apt-get upgrade' but there is no place to download packages and after configure them. i finally succeed by selecting package one by one 'apt-get install package; apt-get clean' why apt-get can not do that automatically when there is no enough free disk space ? It's the same under debian installer, it do not verify if there is enough space on disk before installing packages, i succeed to install by executing 'apt-get clean; apt-get upgrade' in a shell thanks sylvain smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature

How much disk space is left on the partition that /var is in? i have a / (809 M used, 35M available) and a /boot , that's all smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature
Re: Bug#329232: localechooser: Should avoid hardcoding specific packages installation in the script code
Christian Perrier a écrit : Package: localechooser Severity: wishlist Currently, localechooser install specific packages for given languages by using code inside the main script. i think localchooser is not the only package which needs to install other packages during postinst. is there a way to have a generic architecture for this case ? i do not know if it exists in deb architecture for example, to create a new tag between 'Depends' and 'Suggests' , a 'MayNeed' tag this avoid to put all light dependences in 'Depends' tag and have a better management of packages sylvain smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature
