deleting binary soft link on ftp sites
In anticipation of Debian being released (publically)for platforms other than ix86 it would be a good idea to phase out the use of the binary -> binary-i386 link on the ftp sites as this could cause confusion. Is there anything that actually uses this link? - Sue -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .

As part of maintaining the web pages, and updating all the vendor entries, I have been checking out many of the vendors pages. Shaya is quite correct that we are being portrayed as being inferior to RH and Slackware on some sites. Considering the number of people switching away from Slackware, I find this quite annoying. In addition, I get the feeling that some of the distributors don't take us as seriously. For example, Linux Systems Labs, the makers of Tri-linux, don't even sell a Debian-only CD. We need to have a person who is a liaison between us and the vendors so they can be approached by a single, responsible person with our concerns. - Sue -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Re: Search engine for bug-track
> Why isn't there a glimpse or dig search on the bugtracker list??? I have had httdig set up to index (parts) of the web site for quite a while. I have chosen to not index the bug tracking yet as there seems to be a problem with Roxen that is causing reindexing to start from scratch every time. Given the size of the bug tracking (something like 80M) I felt it was a waste of resources. A new version of Roxen is supposed to be installed on master soon and I am hoping this will fix the problem. - Sue -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
