Is Christian Meder MIA?

2008-02-07 Thread Walter Franzini
Hi,

in the past months I've tryied to contact Christian Meder
([EMAIL PROTECTED]) without success. He is the maintainer of
the aegis packages.

His last upload for aegis is dated 2006-05-14 and in the meantime the
upstream team has done two stable updates and the release of the next
major version is imminent, so I'm a bit worried of state of the
aegis packages in Debian.

thanks

Is Christian Meder MIA?

2009-07-08 Thread Walter Franzini
Hi,

in the past months I've tryied without success to contact Christian
Meder (ch...@absolutegiganten.org), the maintainer of the aegis package,
offering my help.

As a Debian and Aegis user I'm a bit worried of state of the aegis
package.

He uploaded 4.24-1 (2008-04-20) and next packaging updates until 4.24-5
(2008-12-05) in the meantime the upstream team has done one stable
updates (4.24.1 released 2008-09-24). Later (2009-06-29) the upstream
team has released another stable release (4.24.2).

thanks

I'm available, however I'm not sure about the procedure to follow to
activate such options. Can you give me some hints?

Thanks.

We already had some discussion about co-maintainership in the past (see
#470162) without being able to make it real.

I've just uploaded the package for 4.24.2 on
http://aegis.stepbuild.org/debian/aegis
it now build and *test* under (a properly configured) pbuilder!

Can we manage to setup the collective maintanership stuff as you
proposed some time ago?

ciao :-)

amd64 buildd hosts

2008-07-22 Thread Walter Franzini
Hi all,

I'm trying to make aegis ready for lenny and it currently fails on
amd64 (nautilus), but the problem seems related to the environment
being somewhat broken. What's the best method to contact the person(s)
responsible for nautilus?

For a detailed explanation about the reasons of the failure, look at
the message from Peter Miller in the thread below:

http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.debian.ports.amd64/25382

TIA

thanks.

And in fact we have already fixed problems related to the strangeness
in home directory settings for buildd hosts, however, as Peter
explained, aegis refuse to work under unknown groups/users (by design
I think).

Roeckx for the support.
