A distro based on Debian
Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to this mail to ask a question about creating a distro using Debian as a base. It won't be commercial - it'll be used in only one school. There won't be used any proprietary software. It's going to be used for education only. So on may I use Debian logo for my distro? Distro will be renamed with "Deb"-suffix. I hope you'll answer me. Your faithfully, Timur Dyomin. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Does that exist? I think yes. There are wide range of broadband connection users without the static IP (ADSL, etc) who want provide some services to them friends, e.g. the FTP or the SSH services. At least in my country, there are a lot of such users through boom of the ADSL connections :) -- Timur -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Remove control field Conflicts if the package is no longer in the repository
Hello Debian Developers, I've recently uploaded (thanks to Bart Martens for sponsoring) my first package and want to adopt the next one. It's cd-discid [1]. Its debian/control file contains the Conflicts field. This package conflicts with cdgrab (<< 0.7), which is no longer exists in the repository. So, I have a question, may I remove Conflicts field safely? 1. http://packages.debian.org/sid/cd-discid Thanks. -- Timur -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". New user and group name for inadyn package
Hello Debian Developers, I'm packaging new version of inadyn package [1]. inadyn can run as daemon, therefore I created init.d script. Daemon supports dropping its privileges on start as well. I chose inadyn for the user name and inadyn for the group name with dynamically allocated system IDs. Are there any comments/suggestions please? 1. http://packages.debian.org/sid/inadyn Thanks, -- Timur -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
