Bug#656043: RFP: gcc-4.5-doc -- documentation for the GNU compilers (gcc, gobjc, g++)

2012-01-15 Thread Samuel Bronson
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: gcc-4.5-doc
  Version : 4.5.3
  Upstream Author : Free Software Foundation
* URL or Web page : http://gcc.gnu.org
* License : GFDL with invariant sections
  Description : documentation for the GNU compilers (gcc, gobjc, g++)

It looks like there are instructions for making this package in the file
debian/README.source from the gcc-4.4-doc-non-dfsg source package.

Bug#660140: ITP: tack -- terminfo action checker

2012-02-16 Thread Samuel Bronson
Package: wnpp
Owner: Samuel Bronson
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: tack
  Version : 1.07
  Upstream Author : Thomas Dickey
* URL or Web page : ftp://ftp.invisible-island.net/ncurses/
* License : GPL-2+
  Description : terminfo action checker

The 'tack' program is a diagnostic tool that is designed to create and
verify the correctness of terminfo's. This program can be used to
create new terminal descriptions that are not included in the standard
ncurses release.

It was in Debian before, but got orphaned and eventually dropped; see
<http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=543860>.

Bug#694308: Relicensing tracked on bug #665334

2014-04-14 Thread Samuel Bronson
Control: block -1 by 665334

The request that Adobe relicense this code is being tracked on
; according to
, the relicensing should be done
by August.

Of course, it still won't be safe to actually modify this code
(implementations depend on this exact code being used), so the most
meaningful change will be that it will actually be legal to use it in
fonts derived from Adobe's open source typefaces.

Bug#749094: ITP: pkg-create-dbgsym -- automatically build debug symbol ddeb packages

2014-05-23 Thread Samuel Bronson
Package: wnpp
Owner: Samuel Bronson
Severity: wishlist

As part of the https://wiki.debian.org/AutomaticDebugPackages project, I
propose to package this for Debian:

* Package name: pkg-create-dbgsym
  Version : 0.64
  Upstream Author : Martin Pitt
* URL or Web page : https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pkg-create-dbgsym
* License : GPL-2+
  Description : automatically build debug symbol ddeb packages

This is what Ubuntu uses to generate their ddeb files, so I think it
would be a good basis for experimentation.
