Bug#285280: ITP: libchewing -- libchewing - The intelligent phonetic input method library
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: libchewing Version : 0.2.4 Upstream Author : Jim Huang <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://chewing.csie.net/ * License : LGPL Description : libchewing - The intelligent phonetic input method library SVN repository : https://svn.csie.net/chewing/libchewing libchewing - The intelligent phonetic input method library [-] History libchewing is derived from Chewing input method, a xcin module focusing on intelligent phonetic processing by lckung and kpchen. However, the original authors of Chewing dropped its development, and Chewing is highly bonded with xcin, which prevents from wider applications. [-] Motion Jim Huang started to separate core algorithm and logic layer of Chewing since 2002, and he integrated his efforts into a Chinese terminal named JMCCE as a part of its input method modules. Also, he attempts to let more applications adapt his efforts, so that he created libchewing with writing some bridges among JMCCE, XCIN, SCIM and iiimf-chewing, etc. [-] Status 1. bridge integration a) works with xcin b) works with JMCCE c) works with SCIM-chewing d) works with IIIMF-chewing e) starts screen-chewing (Chewing IM for GNU screen) f) starts ime-chewing (Chewing MS-Windows IME) 2. support phonetic keyboard layout a) Hsu b) IBM c) Gin-Yieh d) Eten e) Eten 26 keys f) Dvorak g) Dvorak Hsu -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9-earth Locale: LANG=zh_TW.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=zh_TW.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to zh_TW.UTF-8)

Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Kanru Chen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * Package name: ttf-arphic-newsung * Version : 1.3.0 * Upstream Author : FireFly <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://www.study-area.org/apt/firefly-font/ * License : APL(Arphic Public Licence) Description : "AR PL New Sung" Chinese TrueType font by FireFly "AR PL New Sung" is a high-quality Chinese TrueType font (fireflysung.ttf) made by FireFly. It contained two sets of font glyph, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. This font combined AR PL Mingti, AR PL Sungti and FireFly's embedded bitmap font so it can have pretty nice look at both large size and small size. Firefly clearly release his font which combined with other APL fonts under APL. I reopen this bug again because many people like to see this font enter debian. Since it's license is clear and compact with DFSG, why not? :) -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10 Locale: LANG=zh_TW.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=zh_TW.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to zh_TW.UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
