Re: inverse of `adduser'?

1995-10-25 Thread Bill Hogan

p.s. Also I was under the impression that GNU (getopt?) used things
on the command line like

--rev

as option-selectors with option name-completion.

I was very surprised to see that `adduser' accepted `--version' as
a username!

Bug#1767: cern-httpd installation

1995-10-25 Thread Bill Hogan

  Package: cern-httpd
  Version: 3.0-4

Bug: installation creates group named `--quiet'.

# diff group group~
2d1
< --quiet::101:

I believe the intention here is to create a group named `www-data'.

Bug#1768: retraction

1995-10-26 Thread Bill Hogan

   Package: cern-httpd

   PLease ignore my previous message.

I missed the bit about addduser > 1.93.

Saying "requires adduser >= 1.94" might be better.

Bug#1806: genksyms misplaced?

1995-11-06 Thread Bill Hogan

Packages: devel/source, base/modules

Problem: base/modules installs genksyms as `/usr/bin/genksyms',
 kernel Makefile[?] looks for `/sbin/genksyms'.
