Bug#612031: RFP: xscope -- Monitor X11/Client conversations
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-CC: debian-devel@lists.debian.org --- Please fill out the fields below. --- Package name: xscope Version: 1.3 Upstream Author: James Peterson, MCC, Keith Packard URL: http://xorg.freedesktop.org/archive/individual/app/ License: X Description: Monitor X11/Client conversations XSCOPE is a program to monitor the connections between the X11 window server and a client program. xscope runs as a separate process. By adjusting the host and/or display number that a X11 client attaches to, the client is attached to xscope instead of X11. xscope attaches to X11 as if it were the client. All bytes from the client are sent to xscope which passes them on to X11; All bytes from X11 are sent to xscope which sends them on to the client. xscope is transparent to the client and X11. In addition to passing characters back and forth, xscope will print information about this traffic on stdout, giving performance and debugging information for an X11 client and server. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". If i can still find it with 'apt-cache search xscope' then this would be fine. I don't mind if this is introduced in one of the x11-bundles or packaged as a new package. Bug#647048: RFP: notion -- Tiling, tabbed window manager for the X window system
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist X-Debbugs-CC: debian-devel@lists.debian.org --- Please fill out the fields below. --- Package name: notion Version: 3-2011102900 Upstream Author: Arnout Engelen URL: http://notion.sf.net License: LGPL with addition trademark provisions Description: Tiling, tabbed window manager for the X window system Notion divides the screen into tiles and places windows in these tiles by default. Each tile has a set of tabs for the windows within it. It also allows windows to be made 'floating' and placed freely. Notion can be controlled through the keyboard alone or together with a mouse. . Notion can be configured and extended using the Lua language. It also supports extension modules written in C. 'Notion' is a fork of Ion3, which was previously in Debian but was removed due to a dead upstream. The Ion license may or may not be DFSG-free, for now we should probably just put the package in non-free.
