Missing: Mobile Debian-Solution referring to Smartphone Operating Systems (Alternative to Google/Android OS)

2018-08-15 Thread Andreas Jakowidis
Dear Developers of Debian Operating-Systems and Debian-Software.Because of a long experience in developing Debian-Software since the year 1995 it would beimportant/necessary for everyone if you could offer Debian also as a mobile solution for smartphone hardware in near future. As an alternative mobile operating system to Google OS (Android). The clear and well-ordered surface of Debian would be an alternative to some commercial OS.So that everyone get the choice to substitute Google OS with a Debian Mobile OS.An own developed debian-based mobile-hardware is a further option. But I would prefer a flexible usability (substitution of preinstalled Google-Android-OS)Greetings,Andreas Jakowidis

Developing - Devices - Scanner - Running Canon CanoScan 5600F Scanner on Debian in an official way?

2018-08-23 Thread Andreas Jakowidis
Developing - Devices - Scanner - Running Canon CanoScan 5600F Scanner on Debian in an official way?Is there an option to run a Canon CanoScan 5600F scanner on debian stretch, amd64 (x64): Or is there a possibilityin offering driver and/or tools in "debian buster" for that scanner/device next year (2019)?I thought: It is an older scanner/device, that currently should besupported by sane-project: Because the newer and biggerscanner of Canon "CanoScan" are currently compatible with "debian stretch" - (also "Lide" models like "Lide 200"). So: Why is the old CanoScan 5600f still unsupported? I can not use my scanner any longer: Once bought for Windows 7, 64Bit, I unsuccessfully tried to run it on debian. So the most users have given up using Canon CanoScan 5600F with adebian based Operating System. They
just answered: "Use another one (device/scanner)".Maybe the debian-developer-team can create a proper package/program that makes CanoScan 5600F running on debian "officially",that means: Without "Wine", "KVM", "OracleVirtualbox" and without a special "manipulation-code",just with an "official" debian package. Waiting for a solution in near future by the debian-developer-team! Developing a CanoScan 5600f - driver/tool/package would close a further "space" of important unsupported scanners in debian.Because: Canon is one of the biggest leader in scanner/camera/photographic-productions. And debian-OS becomes more attractive.Filmstrips/slidestrips can be scanned by the Canon CanoScan 5600F. This scanner has a filmstrip holder. Thanks or your attention,Andreas

Running "mobius actioncam/dashcam" on debian "officially" - Creation of a necessary official debian-package?

2018-08-23 Thread Andreas Jakowidis
Running "mobius actioncam/dashcam" on debian "officially" - Creation of a necessary official debian-package?Exists some official driver/package, that makes mobius actioncam/dashcam running on debian OS?Without "Wine", "KVM", oder "Oracle Virtualbox", without "special codes"?I want to use this camera in my car, but I can't change the settingsof that important camera-device on linux debian. There is just (a small) program for Windows-Operating-Systems ("*.exe") available.I know: It is fault of the developer-team of mobius cameras (for missing software on Debian OS). But I hope the debian-developers offer/create debian packages for mobius-cameras on Linux anyway. So that debian-users become the possibility in changing the camera-settingson Linux-OS.I think, as a result: Debian-OS becomes
more attractive for moviemakers and movie-enthusiasts (especially for "car-dashcam-users", or for those ones who use aircraft-models to make photos of landscapes from the bird's eye view).Packages like ffdiaporama and python3-devede are much betterthan Windows Movie Maker (cutting and creating videos from pictures and movie clips) and ConvertXtoDVD(creating Video-DVD from movie-clip-sources, just available for Windows-OS). Thanks for reading,Andreas
