Bug#343332: ITP: libtour8 -- tournament processing library
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: libtour8 Version : 0.9.6 Upstream Author : Viktor Pavlenko <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> * URL : http://libtour.sourceforge.net * License : GPL Description : tournament processing library libtour is a generic tournament processing library written in C++. Rules, teams and schedule of a tournament are defined in the Scheme programming language (Guile) and given to the library as input. What makes libtour generic is the fact that it only expects the structure of a tournament be described, and does not know anything else about it. Therefore it is possible to make libtour interpret virtually any sporting tournament. . Scheme language seems a perfect choice for tournament definitions as it allows to easily intermix data and processing logic. Guile interpreter packaged as a library (libguile) makes it simple to mix C and Scheme function calls. Many thanks to the people who made Guile happen. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-686 Locale: LANG=ru_RU.utf8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.utf8 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Al Nikolov * Package name: drupal6-mod-views Version : 2.11 Upstream Author : Earl Miles (http://drupal.org/user/26979) * URL : http://drupal.org/project/views * License : GPL Programming Lang: PHP Description : views modules for Drupal 6 The Views module provides a flexible method for Drupal site designers to control how lists and tables of content (nodes in Views 1, almost anything in Views 2) are presented. Traditionally, Drupal has hard-coded most of this, particularly in how taxonomy and tracker lists are formatted. . This tool is essentially a smart query builder that, given enough information, can build the proper query, execute it, and display the results. It has four modes, plus a special mode, and provides an impressive amount of functionality from these modes. . Among other things, Views can be used to generate reports, create summaries, and display collections of images and other content. . You need Views if: . * You like the default front page view, but you find you want to sort it differently. * You like the default taxonomy/term view, but you find you want to sort it differently; for example, alphabetically. * You use /tracker, but you want to restrict it to posts of a certain type. * You like the idea of the 'article' module, but it doesn't display articles the way you like. * You want a way to display a block with the 5 most recent posts of some particular type. * You want to provide 'unread forum posts'. * You want a monthly archive similar to the typical Movable Type/Wordpress archives that displays a link to the in the form of "Month, (X)" where X is the number of posts that month, and displays them in a block. The links lead to a simple list of posts for that month. . Views can do a lot more than that, but those are some of the obvious uses of Views. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? The stack consists out of: * a shared library for SOME/IP (libvsomeip3.so) * a second shared library for SOME/IP's service discovery (libvsomeip3-sd.so) which is loaded during runtime if the service discovery is enabled. SOME/IP is an automotive middleware solution that can be used for control messages. It was designed from beginning on to fit devices of different sizes and different operating systems perfectly. This includes small devices like cameras, AUTOSAR devices, and up to head units or telematics devices. It was also made sure that SOME/IP supports features of the Infotainment domain as well as that of other domains in the vehicle, allowing SOME/IP to be used for MOST replacement scenarios as well as more traditional CAN scenarios. AFAIK, there's no alternative implementations in Debian. I intend to maintain it as part of my job contract. No sponsorship would be required.

Bug#889614: ITP: libwizard-java -- Wizards API
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Al Nikolov * Package name: libwizard-java Version : 1.0.0 Upstream Author : Tim Boudreau * URL : https://github.com/karchie/Wizard * License : CDDL Programming Lang: Java Description : Wizards API Provides a simple API and UI for Wizards, a commonly used UI pattern in GUI interfaces. Traditionally, everybody has needed to write their own Wizards from scratch, and such code is painful and hard to get right. This library aims to provide a simple, relatively bulletproof API for writing Wizards. The UI for Wizards is pluggable; the default implementation conforms to the JLF usability guidelines for Wizards. This library was originally designed as a replacement for NetBeans' Wizard API, and takes into account the long history of that API and issues encountered with it over the years. It provides a simple, easy-to-use solution that enables any Swing application to provide Wizards with a minimum of code and effort. This library (albeit being abandonware) would be needed for VASSAL engine integration. Similar functionality can be provided by Netbeans, but the API is radically different. I'm going to maintain it by myself, not much of activity is spotten on the upstream.
