Videoconference Friday 2020-09-11 18:00 UTC (Was: For those who want to keep on contributing (Was: Debian @ COVID-19 Biohackathon (April 5-11, 2020))
Hi, while DebConf was running we did not made our weekly meeting (well, there was a Debian Med BoF) and last week several regular contributors had no time. But we want to continue with our video mettings so this is another weekly call for a Debian Med COVID-19 video conference. I can confirm that we made quite some progress in Debian Med COVID-19 tasks and received a lot of support from newcomers but there are lots of remaining tasks - so newcomers are always welcome. For those who would like to join our next videomeeting it will happen at Friday https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Debian+CoViD-19+Biohackathon+Video+Conference&iso=20200911T20&p1=37&ah=1 The meeting is on the Debian Social channel https://jitsi.debian.social/DebianMedCovid19 These weekly video meetings were started in the Debian Med Biohackathon[1]. The topic is what contributors have done in the past week and to coordinate the work for next week. Here are the reports of some past meetings: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianMed/Meeting/WeeklyCovid19 To repeat myself: Newcomers are always welcome. Have fun Andreas. Status update: - I've got a rustc bootstrap build (using upstream binaries) ready for buster/stretch, using LLVM 7 and no wasi-libc. - cargo using the above rustc and buster/stretch's cargo (no bootstrap necessary) - cbindgen building with the above That avoids the LLVM 9/10 update for this round. I'm currently attempting a build of Firefox 78.2.0 ESR for buster. If that goes well I'll start uploading things to buster (coordinating with the SRMs). Cheers, Emilio

Re: introducing an epoch for src:debian-security-support

I like nitpicking! (well, often.) I'll pick 1:11+2020.08.17 as this IMO looks better than 1:11.2020.08.17 and also because 1+1 is sorted lower by dpkg than 1.1... I'll do the git commit right away, though won't upload before more meaningful changes are there. -- cheers, Holger --- holger@(debian|reproducible-builds|layer-acht).org PGP fingerprint: B8BF 5413 7B09 D35C F026 FE9D 091A B856 069A AA1C "There's no glory in prevention."
