Videoconference Friday 2020-07-24 18:00 UTC (Was: For those who want to keep on contributing (Was: Debian @ COVID-19 Biohackathon (April 5-11, 2020))
Hi, I hope these weekly announcements are not boring for readers of debian-devel list. I can confirm that we made quite some progress in Debian Med COVID-19 tasks and received a lot of support from newcomers but there are lots of remaining tasks - so newcomers are always welcome. For those who would like to join our next videomeeting it will happen at https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Debian+CoViD-19+Biohackathon+Video+Conference&iso=20200724T20&p1=37&ah=1 The meeting is on the Debian Social channel https://jitsi.debian.social/DebianMedCovid19 These weekly video meetings were started in the Debian Med Biohackathon[1]. The topic is what contributors have done in the past week and to coordinate the work for next week. To repeat myself: Newcomers are always welcome. Have fun Andreas. Re: Wishlist: I'd love to see WNPP bug CCed in ftpmaster reject mails (where to file a bug report about this)
On Jul 23, Andreas Tille wrote: > I was told that DDs can review the rejection mails at >coccia.debian.org:/srv/ftp-master.debian.org/queue/reject > but this was somehow hidden knowledge to me and works only for DDs. Also, not very practical. I agree that it is a great idea to Cc a WNPP bug if one exists. -- ciao, Marco signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Bug#966229: ITP: protocol -- a simple command line tool for displaying standard network protocol headers
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Vasudev Kamath * Package name: protocol Version : 0.1 Upstream Author : Luis MartinGarcia * URL : http://www.luismg.com/protocol/ * License : GPL-3.0 Programming Lang: Python Description : a simple command line tool for displaying standard network protocol headers Protocol is a simple command-line tool that serves two purposes: - Provide a simple way for engineers to have a look at standard network protocol headers, directly from the command-line, without having to google for the relevant RFC or for ugly header image diagrams. - Provide a way for researchers and engineers to quickly generate ASCII RFC-like header diagrams for their own custom protocols. - why is this package useful/relevant? It is useful for observing headers of Standard Network protocol without going to need to go through wiki page for protocol or from RFC documents. It is also helpful to generate RFC like ASCII header diagram for custom protocol. - how do you plan to maintain it? For now myself, might consider later to move it to Python application team.
