Bug#804128: ITP: kolla -- containers and deployment tools for operating OpenStack clouds

2015-11-05 Thread Thomas Goirand
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Thomas Goirand

* Package name: kolla
  Version : 1.0.0
  Upstream Author : OpenStack foundation
* URL : https://github.com/openstack/kolla
* License : Apache-2.0
  Programming Lang: Python, Ansible, more...
  Description : containers and deployment tools for operating OpenStack
clouds

 Kolla provides production-ready containers and deployment tools for operating
 OpenStack clouds. It provides Docker containers and Ansible playbooks to meet
 its mission. Kolla is highly opinionated out of the box, but allows for
 complete customization. This permits operators with little experience to
 deploy OpenStack quickly and as experience grows modify the OpenStack
 configuration to suit the operator's exact requirements.

debian.org XMPP - testing welcome

2015-11-05 Thread Daniel Pocock

People are now welcome to test the debian.org XMPP service.

This is not confirmation that the service is live and supported, but it
is running and people can try to log in and add friends to their
roster/buddy list. There may be a couple of restarts over the next
couple of days. When we think everything is finished, a formal
announcement will be sent to debian-devel-announce.

You use the same password for SIP, WebRTC and XMPP. It is called the
RTC password, you set it in LDAP, see instructions here:
https://rtc.debian.org/

XMPP clients supporting audio and video calls can use the TURN server on
vogler.debian.org for media relay / NAT traversal. Jitsi supports this.

Regards,

Daniel

Bug#749647: Ping

2015-11-05 Thread Dima Kogan
Hi. Can we talk about this again? Should I Cc -devel, or is the
reassignment to 'general' enough?

The argument for guile in default 'make' is as before. And also the
current situation is misleading to users. The main feature of make 4.0
is guile support. A user who wants this goes to 'apt-get install make',
sees 4.x being installed, and happily attempts to use this shiny new
guile support, only to discover that their Makefiles do not work as
expected.

Thanks

That of course is someone's name, not a license. That should be MIT-Expat.
